The Birmingham Bowl? Egads: THAT is what we've been clamoring for? A zero-interest game in a terrible stadium in a dumpy city? If the Vols end up in that dreadful game, my hat is off to anyone who attends--TRUE UT fans!

IMO, any bowl is better than no bowl...

I would love for us to play in the Belk Bowl right here in Charlotte. The family could come for Christmas and stay for fun times at the game. The stadium sold college seat licenses this year and we bought two of them, looking ahead at the game against WVU in a couple years. We have tickets and are ready.....GO VOLS!!

Not sure if it is a possibility, but I would love to get UNC in the Music City Bowl, whoop the piss out of them, and get that sour taste out of my mouth from 2010!

I want to replay them too, but don't think unc will go bowling

Great...The 2 bowls that want us are in ghettos's...I'm sure there are lots of things to see in those cities like the methadone clinic or one of the busiest welfare office's in the country...Be a good way to make sure those kids study! lol

Oh, for God's sake. I don't think that the Liberty Bowl is the creme de la creme of sporting venues, but your lily-white ass isn't going to be in danger there. My 85-year-old mother still toodles around the streets of Memphis in her mint condition Saturn without problems. Have you ever heard of Beale Street? The Gibson guitar factory? The Peabody? The Belz Museum? The Pink Palace? The Stax Museum? Sun Studios? AutoZone Park? (Wrong time of year, I'll grant you.)

Do you quake in terror in Miami, too?

All of that and Rendezvous, Gus's fried chicken, Interstate BBQ, Commissary, not to mention the dog track right across the river - and Tunica.

Its a store at the mall. Like Macys...they pay for the bowl. The exact same store in tn is called Proffitts? I believe.

They bought out Proffitts 5? 6? more? years ago.

Belk is HQ'd in NC, so it makes sense that they'd sponsor a bowl.

They're sort of between JC Penneys and Macy's, kinda.

It's very likely it's the Liberty Bowl or Music City. Both of those bowls really want Tennessee.

I'm not sure I like the location but I'd love to see the matchup. I'm a life-long Memphian and we're all pumped about the Tigers. I think it would be a close game. Paxton Lynch will play in the nfl one day and the d is serviceable.

I know Memphis doesn't get much love on this site, but there's genuine interest in improving the quality of life here. This Memphis Tiger team, the Grizzlies, and upcoming Tiger bball really give the city something to get behind which is so important when there's so much division in other aspects of life.

Either way Im thrilled over my Tigers and hopefully my Vols. Its been a rough 6 years.

I hope we go to the Belk Bowl.

So.....I can get a discount on the tickets since I'm the assistant manager at one of their stores here in SC. Lol.
