Spillman / Perlotte

They literally just make up numbers. I’ll give them a 61.7

In college, they have a serious issue with ignoring grading players that are not involved with the play.

For example, on the TD that was a 16-play drive, Telander takes two steps forward, a false step to his left and then does nothing in the middle of the field while a crosser in front of him gets wide open (that Boley passes up) and takes himself out of the throwing lane where Boley does throw.

That won't count as a negative play towards Telander despite the fact he does a terrible job on that play.

I think we will be fine at LB. We need big safeties that don’t dive at feet and play on their heels. I think this is the main problem with our defense.
Fine? This defense needs talent at every spot going forward. All of them. We aren't fine for 2026 anywhere. Carter should be in the middle and Perlotte on the outside. That would be a good start. Farooq maybe a player. We'll see. Spillman & Herring are good too. That's like 4 guys. We need 22. Long ways to go.. portal season gonna be huge.

Want to is not got to outstrip real, actual talent and ability. We are not winning the SEC merely because of wanting it. No one else has either.
Talent and three dollars will buy you a cup of coffee if that talent isn't motivated. Again, Perlotte is a talented kid who plays hard. Neither means very much without the other. You want a roster full of Boo Carters?

You use Telander more when the field shrinks. Spillman and Perlotte playing time should continue to grow. I love how Perlotte doesn’t play on his heels, him and Spillman have the potential to be very good. Hopefully Carter is back this week, we need him this Saturday. GBO!
