Spence and Brown out as possible OC?

Yes. It has. Or I just didn't have to deal with some of the people I've run into lately.

A year ago, I loved posting here, now, it's almost a chore just to explain myself. I think the quality of poster and ability to understand others has gone way down.

That's a shame. There are too many personal attacks, IMO, too.

maybe it's because some of your posts make as much sense as a Miss America Q&A session. Just because it makes sense in your head doesn't mean it translates well.

A) If tvols is 17, he is the exception to the rule

B) My post makes perfect sense. When people pull half of a sentence out and isolate it is when it gets confusing.

I hope you are refering to Brian Griese and not Brady. If you are refering to Brady I think you need to take a long look at yourself in the mirror.

I thought Brady was a very run-of-the-mill QB in College. He didnt blossom till he got to New England.

Your analysis of Coleman and Crompton aren't exactly what I'd call quality. The three pages of whining and insulting that followed I would classify as pathetic.

I'd call apologizing for our "ignorant" fans (guess we all come across as unknowledgeable at all those away games he goes to) a sign of lack of character. If a fan of a fellow SEC school told me that UT fans are the "most ignorant," apologizing would be the last thing I would do.

That sounds like coaching to me. Was it psychology, late physical development, or what is the real story for him?

I dont know... He won alot of games and set a few records I think, but I dont remember hearing alot about him coming out. He didnt come to Ann Arbor with a lot of acclaim either. I guess the big story when he was there was us and FSU.

Brady was actually bummed about how low on the depth chart he started on at UM. It was something crazy, like 7th. The only reason I remember that is even with practice players, it's never dawned on me there would be a 7th string qb. He supposedly actually had a psychologist to help him cope and it gave him confidence and he worked his way up.

I cant help but root against him now because he's plays for the Colts' nemesis, but he's a great player.

I played at West Georgia few years back and even there (little Div.II school) we had I think 5 QB's at any given time. 7th string... it takes a lot of moxy to fight to the top from 7th.

That sounds like Brady. I don't like him either, but he's got 'it' as they say. His personality seems less appauling with the beard, IMO.

It's more or less for some of the things that other people's kids have to hear. Yelling at the refs or the other team is one thing, but I will always apologize to anyone when a fan of my time yells obscene words at a fan in the presence of children. It's not a lack of character, it's pride in the image of my school.

I had a buddy that was 6th string at Tusculum and he hung 'em up. It was how I found out about it. Someone told him the Brady story.

His answer was that he couldn't afford a psychologist.

anyways after watching the redskins beat up the cowboys to earn a playoff spot and winning my fantasy league, i'm off to play tiger on wii. It's the closest to real golf i've been able to get to in a long, long time.

Speaking from experience... it's tough when you're a walk-on and down on the depth chart. In my experience, it wasnt the fight for PT... I had no illusion of PT with 3 incumbant WR's, it was the way a few of our coaches like to screw with the guys low on the depth chart that they had no money invested in. I had to hang 'em up too... hardest decision of my life. I have the utmost respect for guys that walk on with a dream and are fortunate enough to finish.

I knew a couple of walkons at UT. They apparently had to put up with a lot of crap. Didn't really seem like anyone wanted them to succeed.

I think it's the bootcamp mentality. They dont really need you there so they try to make you quit. More often than not, they succeed. It weeds out the non-hackers. In my case, it was school or sports... I picked and it worked out but I still love the game.

As far as I'm concerned, any problems with communication you may have pale in comparison to poor reasoning, double speak, parsing of words, and attempts to apply logical fallacies in order to "win" the argument.

I actually think you communicate your ideas about as well as anyone else here... the problem is the ideas themselves.

... at least on the JC v BJ issue. I've noticed you are a fairly automatic negative too which you rationalize as rejection of mediocrity.

I usually leave people like you alone... but for some reason I didn't this time.

Didn't Tennessee have a DE a couple of years ago, 2005, that started off as a walk-on who ended up starting opposite Parys Haralson? I can't think of his name. That was one of the better DL's Tennessee has had.

Some walk-ons end up as role players and might get a scholarship their senior year as a holder or deep snapper. That seems to be the best case scenario.

Jason Hall started opposite Parys in 2005. I don't think he was a walk-on.

I know a girl who works at Starbucks in Detroit...she said Kippy comes in every morning and orders a grande chai tea latte w/soy milk...well, today, they were out of soymilk, and when she informed Kippy, he lost it. He blew up, cussed her out, started yelling that he was sick of Detroit and that he was getting in his car and driving straight to Knoxville. I believe her because a story like that's got to be true.

Could someone please call the Starbucks in Knoxville to make sure they have plenty of soymilk in stock tonight?

Does the Chai tea come in Latte form?
