What i read on govols.com. I guess these were are top 2 possibilities. Anybody know who our next choice is or should be?

Cignetti, Adkins, Hatcher, or Marrone would be the most likely candidates left.

I put him on there because i want him to be the next OC. You can always hope.

I'd be willing to bet Hatch is on his list somewhere, I wouldn't go so far as to say he is one of the candidates most likely to get the job though.

How many would take the job if it's offered (besides Adkins)? I hope Fulmer doesn't promote Adkins to OC, but it's just like Fulmer to keep it in the family. Fulmer said he wanted a staff settled by Jan 8, seems like it will take longer.

they are suppose to talk to Frank Cignatti, so the paper read this morning. Why dont they try looking at somebody in Division II.

if Fulmer really had a notebook full of available names, Hatcher's on the list. Also, quit jumping the gun. Fulmer said he was waiting to get to the coaches meetings in Cali before he made any decision. Nothing has been reported with any credibility that Spence and Brown were nothing more than possibilities for the job. They interviewed them and things didn't work out. Quit being doom and gloom. We're likely not going to know anything with any substance until at least a week from now.

If that was referring to me, thanks. It shows I can be balanced in my opinions. However, I'm anything but 'doom and gloom.'

I have complete confidence that CPF will make a great decision.

i was speaking to every poster that continually posts that Spence and Brown were the only ones on the list, that Fulmer is going to hire a bomb or that Fulmer doesn't know what he's doing. It's getting pathetic. I don't Fulmer as coach anymore, but I'm smart enough to know his list is more than just two marginal coaches.

Everything I read indicated Spence was not offered. Read one where Spence was quoted saying he was not offered the OC job.

I have yet to see evidence and it's further proof that they were just some of the candidates, not the only ones. The evaluation process has barely started, yet many on here are already in panic mode.

I would guarantee there are a handful of names on that list that none of us have thought about. There's a good chance that people are on that list that we've never heard of. There's also a very good chance there are people on that list that no one on here think we have a chance of getting so they haven't been mentioned either.

It shouldn't be THAT hard to get a good OC to come here with all UT has to offer. Hope it's just a case of Fulmer being real picky.

I wonder if Martz does indeed go to San Fran, will he keep Cignetti on the staff or does he do his own QB coaching? If he does do his own QB coaching, it will leave Cignetti jobless. Talk about timing.
