How does that even work? I know Va wasted tax payer money painting white line across the interstate, but I've never seen or heard anyone getting pulled over by that method.

As in Ohio, the plane makes a circle around a certain area and tracks a car by using the speed and distance.

Choppers are generally used by high ranking staff, a Major and above and a good example would be a shooting in the state invovling a trooper and the Major of operations would have to go immediately to the scene. So if the weather is good, the Major would use his Chopper.

They time you from the air travelling a known distance.

Distance/time = velocity

That's just absurd. Our Troopers really need something better to do.

I have often though about matching some paint up to the pavement and painting over all their little white lines.

That goes hand in hand with wanting to throw "round up bombs" on the bushes they hide behind to radar. :)

Of course, I've never done any of these said things..

In the part of Va. that I'm from the only thing the choppers are used for is finding green twinky patches. But a state trooper give me a ticket on my motorcycle this summer there, and I was like 3 miles from the state line. He had to turn around to come get me, I shoulda made a run for it, yathink?

I got a parking ticket in Tuscaloosa Saturday when I was at the game. I parked right behind a friend of mine....well I parked really close to him so I guess that's why I got it.

It said "to obstruct traffic", I wasn't blocking anything other than parking like 6 inches from my friend. I suppose the cop thought I was blocking him in. Oh well, I left the ticket with my brother, he said he'd take care of it.
