Sales on PCs are down but sales of games are overtaking consoles. There's a few reasons for that.
1) less people are buying stock pcs and are building. Building is easy as Legos now.
2) Computer hardware goes for longer than it used to and the games are slowly plateauing. They will be even quicker now as a 150 dollar GPU that's coming out will be able to outperform an xbone in an xbone and pc exclusive game.

3) steam sales and humble bundles. Simple as that.
