At 6-3, this matches the best start they have had through 9 games under Steve Spurrier.

And they are already eliminated from SEC East contention.

And it's still October.

Fail.

Right on time for their ever predictable late season collapse back to their .500 lifetime range.

I think they'll finish out 6-6

If we play like we did tonight, then yea, we'll end up 6-6, maybe 6-7 if we go to a bowl. I don't think we'll play like this next weekend against Arkansas. I see us ending up 8-4 (4-4). I think this loss will only do good things for all the young guys on our team.

So I am lurking over at CockyTalk just to see the meltdown. I am not posting just reading and came across this little nugget:

"This is Kiffin's first year and he's improved Tenn. much more than Spurrier has his whole time here."

I just had to share it. :)

I feel that this sums up USCjr perfectly.

A buddy of mine lived in Columbia for a few years before moving back and said when lil' USC hired Spurrier they would win the conference in 2 years and a NC in 4. He still wont talk about it.

As someone stated after the UGA game, the pecking order has been re-established. We'll be back to our rightful place in no time. V,B.

Not after the way the trolls were on here all week talking smack. I love the fact their hiding now

Like I said, I was referring to both team's overall record. I'd gladly take their 6-3 over our 4-4 right now.

That said, the only thing missing tonight was a good visor toss out of Spurrier.

Records are records, but it is nice to see UT progress. The two losses to UCLA and Auburn really sting. This team has improved so much since then.

8-4 is in reach. It could have been better and it could be worse.

The future is bright and this staff can coach.

Enjoy.

I will take this staff and a 4-4 record with close games against UF and Bammer. SC can have their current record, it will be 6-6 or 7-5 at best very soon.

OK, you guys are missing my point. Nevermind.
They make good points. Not like we've beaten anybody worth note. Kentucky lost to MSU. Ole Miss to Auburn. Vandy...well is Vandy. FAU, SC State, and a terrible NC State team. The real schedule started today. Now we have a schizophrenic Arkansas team, Florida, and Clemson. We could easily lose all our remaining games and you guys win out.

If ut played ucla or auburn now, they would win both games easily. Those losses were flukes.

Stay as long as you like CNB, please. I think you are a classy rival poster.
