South Carolina will be ANOTHER noon kickoff

My favorite time slot is 3:30. Get to stadium about 10, tailgate, watch earlier game, then hit up the OC and have a nice dinner and some drinks.
Gonna be eating breakfast for a noon game… lol
For those living in the East Tennessee area, kickoff time should not matter . However, if you live in Nashville, Atlanta, Charlotte, early game are much more desirable. It give those people the opportunity to leave early in the morning, see the game and get back home in the same day and not have to drive late into the night. 3;30 or 4 kickoff times are still Ok for those fans, but the 7 pm kickoffs are a night time is the killer and much more expensive for the fans. The only advantage of the 7 pm kickoff is the heat is not as intense compared to the 3;30-4 pm kickoffs. In the late Fall, the whether is much better at the noon, mid-afternoon kickoffs.

You’re trying to drive from Nashville, TN, to Columbia, SC, the morning of the game? Just an FYI: that’s a 6 1/2 hour to 6 hour 45 min trip at best. Unless you leave Nashville 2-3 hours earlier, you’re going to be arriving with maybe an hour left in the game broadcast at most.
Why would he drive to SC when the game is at Neyland?

If we combine our program with ETSU’s and MTSU’s we should have enough firepower to start getting 1 pm kickoff slots. Food for thought Danny.

We are more irrelevant than ever, but noon games aren't that bad. I'd rather watch early than have to wait all day long. But that's just my opinion.

Remember in 2016 when we were the 3:30 game like 5 out of 6 weeks? That was the last time we were relevant enough to garner attention.

My bad. Flipped the location of the game in my head when I typed the post…possibly due in part to l hearing and taking about this week’s upcoming game in Columbia, Missouri.

Is it simple? Because our opponent is playing a 3:30 game the week before us… and it’s against Troy…

They're playing that game in the mid-afternoon SEC Network slot, which is the least desirable slot from a TV scheduling standpoint. The noon ESPN slot is the third-best slot every week. It's better than the SEC Network primetime slot as far as the league and ESPN are concerned. Our South Carolina game is noon ESPN2, so I guess it's the fourth-best slot that week, but I think you get my point.

I don’t understand why people don’t like noon games. I wasted my entire day looking forward to that Florida game. Let’s get it over with and enjoy the rest of our day lol.

i personally don't like it because I'm usually busy and or away from the TV (and drinks) during that time window on Saturdays.

I'm in Germany. Noon Games= 6 pm kickoffs. Perfect!

7 pm games = 1 am kickoffs = watch the replay on Sunday morning. The benefit there is no commercial breaks.

Also have to stay off ALL social media, not even look at my phone, til I watch the game.
Same here, living in Europe so the noon games are perfect.

I have started to like the 12:00 noon kickoffs, it’s gets the (likely) loss out of the way and leaves time for work around the house or golf

Well.. bless your heart.. takes a big man to come out and admit something like that.
How's the home life? Wife still happy.. even with the "problem"?

We’re doing better.

One time she did say “My ex Frank Duncan had a small one too, but at least you’re not a minute man like he was”.

Get a 8 am tee time.

At the very best, you can get through 18 in 3.5 hours with a foursome, that’s if everyone is moving. Usually a round takes 4 hours.

Even if you can get through in 3.5, I’ve played the courses near here to death, I like to drive out to Tellico and play the big boy courses. Those are an hour away.

Noon kickoffs = Knox Muni and hoping to get done fast enough to get lunch and be back by kickoff.
