South Carolina will be ANOTHER noon kickoff

From a players standpoint they liked the noon schedule. Get the game in and they could still have the rest of the day to watch games/visit friends family. I don’t think they care about a tailgate.

I understand your point, its irrelevant to the discussion about early kickoffs. Players operate on a fixed gameday schedule, probably find some that wouldn't be opposed to a 9:00AM kickoff.

Hate noon kickoffs this time of year. Love 6pm games, spend the day on the lake get home for kickoff and dinner.

South Carolina had even less of a chance at being a night game because that is the week that CBS chose to do their double header. When CBS does 2 games I think ESPN/ESPN2/ESPNU have to move their SEC games to noon and the only other night game is the late SEC Network game. Just like the only game opposite the weekly CBS game at 330 is always on the SEC network and no ESPN games are allowed at that time. I believe I remember reading that on here when one of the posters was explaining how the time slots are filled each week and the order they are chosen.

OP said the players HATE it. So yeah, I think it’s relevant to the conversation

More people gonna be drunk n wasted before 4 pm lol

Can't wait to get out on my own so I can do the same! My aunt's a Saint rofl

I don’t understand why people don’t like noon games. I wasted my entire day looking forward to that Florida game. Let’s get it over with and enjoy the rest of our day lol.

Wow, you're incredibly not good at this. I'll give you the benefit of making a mistake than outright lying so if you wouldn't mind please copy over where knox-town (the OP) said "players hate it." Thanks.

Danny must have zero influence. A great AD has got to have some say so in this.

None of the ADs have any say, really, in weekly scheduling. This is all about the TV broadcasting companies and how much more preferable/desirable/likely to get higher viewership a given SEC game is compared to the other SEC games that week.

So of the games we’ve been scheduled this year:

BG - Thursday night
Pitt - Noon
TN Tech - Noon
Florida - 7PM
Mizzou - Noon
South Carolina - Noon

4 of 6.

What in the world?
It’s called we haven’t earned 3:30 and 7:00. Neither has our opponent. It’s pretty simple.

Lol dunno why anyone hates Noon games on a Saturday….

1) You get to drink earlier
2) You get to watch your favorite team earlier
3) You get to continue watching even more football and drinking the rest of the day….
4) WTH is there not to like about a Noon game….

Is it simple? Because our opponent is playing a 3:30 game the week before us… and it’s against Troy…
And the week before we were prime time against a better opponent. Their 3:30 also wasn’t on cbs. When you think about us getting into conference play and not being one of the more marquee games of the weekend it really is that simple.
