Granted. It did get pretty loud for the UGA game though. I dont expect this game to be any different.

I was actually referring more to the new, young QB playing in hostile territory. Make a little noise and he is bound to make mistakes.

We will not win this game with Matt Simms at QB. We shoud start anyone but Matt Simms. No one gives us any worse chance to win the game.

With a competent QB, I think this would be a hard fought game with Tennessee ultimately prevailing. But with things being as they are, it's going to be up to the Defense to make things happen on both sides of the ball. South Carolina will load up to stop the run and Simms can't throw it over 5 yards beyond the line of scrimmage without it being a floater to the opposing team.


Lattimore being out helps, but they still have a hell of a QB in Shaw.

Would love to be proven wrong about this game, because we really need this one.

I wonder if Matt Simms is really that bad or maybe its an experience and confidence factor coming into play. I have seen him play and it seems to me he just needs to focus a little more. I do agree....Carolina will send preasure and he will need to get rid of the ball quickly and of cors.......accurately. We will see.

I believe this will be another close game......too close to call. The game will have a 7:15 kickoff time and the Vols should be fired up to play a team that they are not big underdogs to. Goodluck Vols....I look forward to this game every year.....second to Clemsux.:rock:

Ellington has looked really good in the games I've seen him. We cannot sleep on that guy! Shaw was always the better QB from day 1 imo. Good luck! And as you may expect, I hope we destroy you!

I saw Shaw bang his hand off a helmet near the end of that game last week, i was wondering about that. He went off the field holding his hand.

Conner Shaw will be playing. He has been practicing this week getting ready for UT. Fall break this weekend then back to work. Looking forward to this game......its going to be a tough game.

we need to learn how to find Rivera in the middle...of the field wide open.....sad how simms could not get that far in his progressions.

thoughts? if simms plays. we lose big... if worley starts, not quite sure what we are gonna see, but we vols know one thing, it will be better than if simms was out there..
