Since it seems to be a slow news day with people throwing out awful raps and awesome prom stories, I thought I'd put this idea into the mix.

So South Carolina and that dreadful Steve Spurrier come to Knoxville this fall. With Kiffin talking it up with Steve and the whole "pumping gas" incident, this could easily be the most fueled (no pun intended) home game besides maybe Georgia (though Mark Richt is about as tame and uninteresting as the average Vanderbilt football game). Therefore, a friend of mine had this suggestion and I want to hear what you have to say.

As many people as possible bring (empty, of course) gas cans to Neyland for that game.

I think it would be pretty funny and, as long as they are empty, I don't think they would be prohibited.

Thoughts? Reactions?

I think that would be pretty classless, especially considering our coach has vehemently denied making the comments in question (and the player probably isnt gonna be suited up anyways, cause he may not qualify academically). And there is noway they would allow empty gas cans to be brought into the stadium.

I am meeting some friends for this game who are USCe fans and they are already planning to dress up as gas station attendants, should be interesting sitting with them, haha.

If only one person in Neyland manages to get a gas can in the stadium you can bet ESPN will find it.

Not a good idea this is Tennessee not florida or alabama have class and whip them on the field that ends all arguments right there

I kinda agree with the classless part sorry, and yeah no way security would let through that many people w/ gas cans....and i worry some drunk fans plus gas cans could = trouble

Lane Kiffin's going to put up half a hundred on Spurrier's weak defense, after all the stuff Spurrier's been spewing about Lane in the offseason.

While I hope you are right, I disagree to an extent, the last couple year's Spurrier has had some solid defenses, I apologize I don't keep up with the "yard birds" much but did they lose a lot on Defense?
