Source: JRM Will Return If Shoop Hired

I don't think so, JBR. I think Arkansas was what it was; there's usually one game like that in any season. It was ugly; no "almost pretty" to it.

And I think Bama had the potential to play harder if we'd played harder. That was arguably our best, most complete performance of the year, and we came up a bit short. Don't see that changing even in a what-if world.

Really do see 11-2 as our realistic "what-if best case" from last season. Can't alternate-universe it any more starkly without completely losing touch with this reality.

p.s. In this day and age, no Power 5 team goes 14-0. If you get to 13-0, you're gonna be 13-1, 14-1, or 15-0. Thank the playoffs.

Actually, the Big 12, since they have no conference championship game, can enter the playoffs at 12-0. Thus, if they won the NC, they would end up being 14-0.

Probably be easier to just youtube the UT OU game, watch the second half, and watch how much they blitzed us and see how we crumbled offensively

I'll do that as soon as you re-watch the Florida game and explain how our offense lost us that game. Last I remembered we ran the ball down their throat and it was more to do with giving up 5 4th down conversions on defense more so than anything the offense did wrong.

My major complaint with the offense vs OU and Florida was the very, very weak series in each game immediately after the opponent got within 1 score. Both times a first down or two probably seals both games and the Vols ran three basic plays that never got out of the backfield and punted the ball back to the opponent.

Ding ding ding! Scared to death to throw the ball 5 yards pass the los because our pass game was pitiful. I remember Dobbs taking a snap on third down and basically just falling down for a loss of 4 yards in the Florida game. It was one of the most disgusting play calls/give up calls I have ever seen in my life.

I'm done going back and forth with these people. It's useless.

You people need to slow down on this playoff talk. If we don't develop a better down field passing game, we have zero chance at making the playoffs. Line has to protect, Dobbs has to read the coverage better, deliver an accurate ball, and the receivers have to get open. It never fails, when a defense gets in our faces, and blitzes, we fail in one of these phases. We can not screen pass our way through pressure, defenses are looking for it, and will continue to if we do not back them off with an effective passing game.

Last time I checked, our offense scored more than enough points to win every game. Defensive break downs cost us. The passing game will be improved, as Dobbs has improved incrementally every year. And with better protection, which we should have seeing that we had the SEC lineman of the week 3 out of the last 4 weeks of the season, comes better ability to make the proper reads. It's fixin' to be on like Donkey KongBo.

I honestly believe with Shoop on board that Sutton and JRM could both seriously improve their draft stock after next season.

Leaving now would lose them several Million $$$$.

Stay and they can play on a Shooptastic dominating Orange swarming D.

I hope the kids and their family and advisors understand this.

If they leave and we Win the National Championship or even just the SEC Championship and make the playoffs I thing they'll regret leaving for the rest of their lives.

Whatever they decide, I wish them all the best and appreciate them becoming a VFL.

Simply snapping the ball with 2 seconds left on the play clock in the 4th qtr, wins the OU game. Although we broke down on D many times against FL, our 2 min offense on the last drive and Butch's game management were a joke. Lots of blame to go around. That said, Dobbs will not be in the running for the Heisman. He is what he is, but he's ours. GBO!!

The Arky loss could be contributed to a missed FG by Medley, a fumble in the Red Zone after a catch by Williams and a blocking in back penalty on AK's PR for a TD. That's 17 points we didn't get.Except for Bama the other three losses should have been wins.

Every game is independent of others, but we were so close in our 4 losses, so close that a play here or there could have been the difference. With the room we have for improvement vs. amount needed to secure wins, I see 2016 as a season that could really be special. I refuse to give in on any game in January, the schedule is in out favor, we are on the way up, while while other are not. With Bama about to get run out of the stadium by Clemson tomorrow(that would be a defining moment for Saban, and wishful thinking), they could fall to pieces like the gators did once they got exposed for having a PED popping QB(what was he taking?).

I think we have about three players that need to get some draft day insurance, and come back for a season to remember, and then go be millionaires.

Go Vols!

No way anyone would sit outside in January in the mountains of East Tennessee to watch that game.

I live in Sarasota bout 40 miles south of Tampa and I miss those days in East Tennessee when it just felt like football season. I'd be freezing up there, but shorts are meant for June not January. You don't realize what ya got till its gone.
