I think i like Peyton's attitude more than Bray.Peyton just seemed more focus,cerebal and more mature than Bray at this point in their careers.Bray is still a good qb and i think he will improve greatly next year and hopefully stays healthy but he is no Manning,but then again not many Quarterback's are.
I don't want to add to the mattress burning, but after looking back on everything through his sophomore year, it's not overly impressive what he's done... and I understand the thumb injury and that he was apparently not feeling well today. Doesn't matter.
Does he need two ridiculous WRs (Hunter and Rogers) out there and play against a weak out of conference team to do anything? It seems to me having Da'Rick Rogers, a solid TE with Rivera and a good slot WR in Arnett... that would be enough if he was truly an All SEC type QB. He couldn't score on UGA. He struggled against Florida, Vanderbilt and Kentucky. He still throws TERRIBLE, inexcusable INTs and shows no progression against throwing more in the future (especially against zone defenses and in the redzone). Against UK he pretty much threw it in the direction of Rogers or threw it into the 3rd row seats.
I was on the Bray bandwagon early on this year, but after looking back.. what has he really done? Beat up on Cincinnati? :clapping:
AJ McCarron is only a sophomore too.
Aaron Murray also. Neither of those QBs have a WR as good as Rogers or Hunter.
Youth = bad crutch.

My tune is the same. Bray is currently over-rated. And unproven. Pretty sure that is consistent with my thread subject.
Mmm hmm. :hi:
Georgia's defense is also solid. The level of talent UGA has is second only to LSU.
I guess that 10 consecutive games with 2 or more TD passes is unproven. This, mind you, was accomplished without a decent running game. Peyton didn't accomplish this with the running game he had when he was here. Before you start talking about the level of competition, Peyton's teams had very similar schedules and much longer to do it than the amount of time it took Bray to do it.
Are you so blind that you're even mentioning Bray in the same category with Peyton Manning? That's so stupid that I can't believe you said it....Bray has put up good numbers against NOBODY! I repeat: NOBODY! He hasn't even played against the tough defenses in the SEC yet--LSU, BAMA....and how many TDs did he toss against an average UGA defense this year--ZERO! (UGa played the weakest SEC schedule this year--and lost to S. Carolina at home--how many points did Spurrier and Co. put up on the pups in Athens?)
I think the kid is good, but please--take the orange glasses off and quit drinking the Bray Kool-aid---He isn't even as good as Casey Clausen was at this point...
All of you Bray JUNKIES can point to numbers ad nauseum, but he has put those numbers up against: Ole Sis, Vandy, KY, Montana, Cincy, Buffalo, etc...but when the tougher defenses show up he can't get it done!
Are you so lazy that you can't read an entire thread before using one post as a sound bite to rant about. My post was in response to a repeated question from the OP for someone to give an example of Bray's accomplishments. I gave a stat that Peyton didn't have even though he had the same opportunity. BTW, I'm not a Bray junkie by any stretch of the imagination nor do I think he has even close to Peyton's ability. Now try to follow along.

Am I reading this wrong? You're saying that Bray accomplished something that Manning didn't! Isn't that following along? My point is that Bray has done that against extremely weak SEC competition and even weaker OOC competition...to say that Manning played similar competition is just plain dumb! Either way--it's clear that you were trying to defend Bray against the OP---and used stupid logic to do it! Stupid is as stupid writes and reveals....
