LSU and AU were not overmatched.
They were both clearly better than their opponents.
Hiding behind a word? Hogwash!Yeah, good job hiding behind a word. The point is that we were not the only SEC team that did not play a cupcake. 4/5 years ago when we scheduled this game, we thought we would be good by now. We are not! THAT is the issue.
But, keep hiding from the truth.
The cupcake argument is more than legit. It's the first thing anyone would point out.
Having said that, it's amazing how many people now claim that West Virginia is way better than Tennessee, Tennessee was overmatched, Will Grier is awesome, etc.
A few days ago, Tennessee was more talented than some mid tier Big 12 team

I had to point that out to a freakin bama fan that I work with...UT was the ONLY SEC team on opening day that was overmatched, so that's not a fair critique.
We had the footballs to take on a ranked team rather than almighty Charleston Southern, Austin Peay, or Northwestern State.
Is that cupcakes I smell?
