Sorry, another prayer thread needed...

Just dropping in for a minute to let everyone know how it went... she's ok, it was funny watching her after the surgery act loopy from the anesthesia. One of the hardest things I've ever had to do in my life was watch her go back through the doors while she's crying for me and my wife. That was pure hell.

Anyway, it went fine and they did what they needed to do. Now she goes back in 4 weeks to set up the next surgery. Thanks for all the thoughts and prayers.

That is such great news! Thanks for keeping us updated!

Sorry man, really I am. My bad ..:hi:

I'm just giving you a hard time, don't sweat it.

Funny story, anyone who has ever had to be put under can attest to this, but when she was in recovery she told everyone about a dream she had about dancing bobcats. Don't ask me why she dreamed about that.

27 glad to hear things went well for your daughter. How is she feeling today?

She was saying crazy things after surgery, she's ok now. Ear's a little sore, but like I said before the hard part was when they took her back there.

Now we get to do it again in a few weeks.

Yeah, it was. We really like the doctors there, as well as the nurses. Thanks again for all the kind words, everybody. I'll be asking you for more in about a month.

Great to hear 27! I was put under as a kid and still remember my dream. I was traped in a red kick ball and i was bouncing around.

Instead of starting a new thread, figure I'd dust off this old one. My daughter will have her next surgery Wednesday morning, and hopefully this will be her last. This one will be a little more involved, and needless to say we're dreading it (especially after how scared she was last time). She will be having her ear pit removed, and she will have be put under (again).

Please just keep us in your thoughts and prayers (again), it doesn't get any easier for a parent the 2nd time around. I know she'll be fine, but I appreciate it.

I will keep your daughter in my prayers. I myself believe that they work. God is good and has power over all. Asking for prayer is humbling, as parents (espeically fathers) we think we should be able to fix anything for our children. But it is good to know that when we have no control that others will call out our needs in prayer and support us. Have faith.

To those who posted, thanks for the well wishes. It didn't go as smoothly as last time, but it's over and she's ok.

Jhen, I hope everything is ok for you and yours as well. You'll be in my prayers.
