Sooners look to slay Vols' three-headed monster

Nope. He doesn't shut up. To me the fact that his coaches aren't shutting him up indicates a complete and total lack of respect for our team and program. Oklahoma thinks they're going to get an easy win.

Reminding me a lot of 1985 and Miami right now...

Agreed. I definitely think it says a lot about their coaches. There is no way that Butch would allow one of his players to mouth off to the media that way

“Usually the offensive people, in order to be successful on defense, gotta go down,” Striker said of Hurd. “He’s got to go.”

What does he mean with that statement?

Most of the "talking heads" have picked OU to win a close game. I like us being underdogs to this OU team. We play better with a chip on our shoulder.

Talk all you want Mr. Striker by the end of the game tackling Hurd you will think you are Ted Striker from the Airplane movie

The more they mouth off, the more confident I get about this game. I'm starting to think that all of the mouthing off and downplaying everything is due to some doubt creeping into their head. I think the lack of smack talk from our side speaks louder than any of the garbage they are spewing.

It's sounds like they are so focused on stoping the run, that they are forgetting about North, Malone, Howard, Pearson, and Williams. Go ahead Oklahoma, pick your poison!

said it before and will say it again. Run right at him with the OL pulling and lets see how much of a man he is. Sure he can rush concrete shoes justin worley with thomas at tackle. But lets see what hes got when coleman, wolf and the rest of the guys come pulling around on that 220lb DE. Dude is in for a rude awakening if he thinks this is the same vols offense. Love how our guys are just sitting back quietly. Nobody is scared of these guys.

Striker is a competitive guy its just his personality. OU knows you guys have great talent but give the guy credit he ate you up last year and killed that All American NFL Alabama line and RBs. He has the fastest first step in the game so I think its disrespectful how all the Vol fans say hes gonna get ran over, when in fact nobody even Derek henry runs striker over. His first comments were about the SEC being overrated and the reporters questioning him about the SEC all the time. Nothing to do with TN being overrated

you think its disrespectful but its only fans talking on the UT side. Players havent said a word. If anybody is being disrespected its UT by Eric Striker and thats ok. yall still gotta come play. Striker still has to bang heads with an offensive line all night. talking season is about over. We'll see how much of a man he is but its gotta suck giving up about 90lbs in the run game when youre gonna get it for 4 qtrs.

It could be a coming out party for another back, John Kelly looks to have all the tools as well.

I know we've been on the wrong end of an unknown freshman on the opposing team coming off the bench and running wild. Could happen in our favor Saturday.

Hurd, Kamara, Kelly, Dobbs, Howard with an end round. Jennings with a throw back pass to a wide open Pearson. Cam Sutton taking it to the house

Bring it son! :machgun:

Well He was about the only OU player that could tackle Henry so idk...That being said He has ate both the teams under your name for lunch two years in a row. But I do agree with you guys I wish he would let his play do the talking. That's why we love Perine he is so humble

No offense, but he was going up against a freshman lineman who was playing out of position at RT and sacking a QB who had no mobility in the pocket. If he has the same kind of performance against Dobbs I will gladly give him props
