Pretty sure they have this ripped and running on a lot more android phones now. I haven't pulled it off yet. I've got a Note 2 ready but I haven't had time to flash it and get everything setup.

How is the remote play? From what I've read it works pretty darn good.

What service are you with? I've always heard that the Xperia phones are awesome but I've NEVER seen them available through Verizon. At least not the Verizon dealers in my area.

I have verizon. Think this is the first xperia phone they have carried. I had the galaxy s4 and went in to get the new galaxy and the rep pointed out the xperia to me and said it just hit the shelf that day.

Works pretty good. Also, using the dualshock to navigate on your phone works well. Not really big on that but just wanted to try it out.
I like it because my ps4 is hooked up in my den and have my ps3 hooked up in my game room for my little boy to watch t.v. He usually sleeps on the couch so when it's bed time and he wants to watch something to fall asleep I can turn the directv on and sit back in my recliner and still play my ps4 on phone. Only used it twice though, with destiny and worked just fine both times.

Nice. Good to hear it's working well. Same situation here. PS4 downstairs but I'd love to play on occasion while watching TV with the wife upstairs.

I guess I'll have to try getting it setup here soon.

Besides that it's still an overall great phone. Battery life is extremely good. Saw a video where a guy had his submersed in about two feet of water and could still touch the screen and navigate and use his duelshock to navigate. Does everything an android does but the xperia apps are pretty neat and I believe are only for the sony phone

I may look into one of those when my contract expires, which wont be for another year and a half. I have always been a big fan of Sony proucts, even outside of the Playstation brand. I've owned Sony TV's, Sony stereos, Sony cameras, etc. I've always been extremely satisfied with their prodcuts.

I currently have a Galaxy S4. I noticed you said that was the phone you had before you switched. How would you compare the Xperia to the Galaxy?

Had alot of problems with my galaxy. Where all your electonics are sony mime are samsung main reason i got the galaxy.

Imo the display, battery life, features, and camera are all much better on the Z3. Had problems with staying connected to wifi on my samsung and when I was connected it took forever. Havnt had any problems with the Z3. I love that its waterproof also.

My little boy loves pretty much all the marvel superheroes, and xperia has an app where there are hundreds of live backgrounds including the superheroes to insert while taking a picture. Like I mentioned before xperia has alot of apps that are exclusive I guess youd say to the sony phones.

Galaxy was pretty much jus another android phone to me. This phone seems like theres endless things you can do with it

I loved the idea of playing PS4 on a handheld. I bought a Vita, but couldn't get used to the small screen and returned it. Being able to use a PS4 controller is a nice touch on this setup, though.

If you ever figure this out, let me know. I have an old Note 2 laying around that I don't use anymore and might be interested in trying it.

I've been saying it for a while, if Sony could figure out a way to make a smart phone that slides and has a PS4 type button lay out. I'd be sold! I'm not really interested in connecting it to my DS4 but if I could use it to play PS4/Vita games on the go via remote play? Tell me where to sign the contract!

You can play without the DS4 connected. It actually prompts you to until you hide the layout. I tried using the layout, its kinda difficult but works
