Song played before kickoffs?

Rage Against the Machine would be amazing. I really don't care for the Beastie Boys,r the "Let the Bodies Hit the Floor" song, or Kid Rock, for that matter. Some Alice in Chains would be good, like "Them Bones" or "Would". As far as criteria for an opening song, it needs to be something that rocks hard, and it needs to be something that most everyone knows. My favorite would be Thunderstruck though.

let the bodies hit the floor is not one of my favs...but the lyrics would be tight for special teams coverage

I think most people will atleast recognize the song. The chant "Thunder" would sound amazing with 100,000+ singing along.

For the entrance and as the team is lining up for the kickoffs are different.

I have lots of family and friends that went to VPI and I don't want to be anywhere close to the point that they could say we were copying them. :hi:

i'm not a huge kid rock fan by any means, but i've liked the bawitdba intro so far this year. it's a good change of pace and gets everyone pumped before kickoff.

zombie nation was played at one point on saturday too

If it ever happened, you could just say it went over well when the BBall team did it.

Rage Against the Machine would be awesome

However...Lamb of God and Slipknot would be the ultimate.
Saliva-Click Click Boom is a good one.

If you want to fire the crowd up, your selections are well and good. If you want to fire the players up, I'm afraid everyone is in the wrong genre.

I think you're right on with this one, which is disappointing because I love rock so much, but everyone has different tastes. I think Kid Rock is about the closest thing we are going to get, as far as rock goes, and he raps in the song.

Disagree.
The team doesn't feed off of a song over the PA. They feed off the crowd going crazy. Gotta play what will fire up the crowd the most.

I used to play a little Cherub Rock by Smashing Pumpkins to get me pumped up before games, but that is probably a little old school.

What about some:

Neil Diamond - Song sung blue
Cat Stevens - Peace Train
Tom Jones - What's New Pussycat?

I think these songs would really fire up the players and fans!

Since our special teams stink so bad right now, I say we let them choose the music that is going to best inspire them to tackle. If it is the intro to Mr.Rogers neighborhood, I will sing along at the top of my lungs if it means better results.
