Statistics are fun. But he took us to the SEC Championship the year before he was fired......so. We haven't had so much as a sniff since. That upheaval every since then that you are blaming our record on, we did that by firing him.His average record over his last 4 seasons as head coach was 7-5. And that was with all of the momentum of his previous successes giving him every advantage he could hope for.
Compare that to the 6-7 average record we have had the past 4 seasons with all of the upheaval and disadvantages we have had to contend with. Doesn't look to me like we gambled very much by letting him go. If he was so great, he would be coaching somewhere else right now and proving us wrong.
