Hitting rock bottom should be unacceptable as a student athlete at UT. I will praise Morley's effort, and find what he has done as an inspiration to those that hit rock bottom, but I don't think he should be promoted as an example.

Morley has proven he wants to be a Vol and that can't be taken away from him. Good Job and good luck with your child that's on the way. (I think it's still on the way from what I hear.)

Agreed hat....I'm defintely in that boat...I thought we had seen the last of him...

On another note....next year we will have the 2005 and 2007 #1 rated highschool CB's playing at safety...

Can anyone tell me why this is....are we against keeping them at CB and letting them be shutdown corners?

Or maybe safety is more important to the secondary than CB in our scheme...

Or is it that Berry and Moreley were just better suited for safety and the recruiting experts miss evaluated them as CB's?

Very unlikely that Morley enrolled at Pellisippi to show everyone how dedicated he can be to his studies. Me thinks he will live up to his hype and produce on the field as well. Appears to have removed his head out of his arse, and I look for him and Berry to form the nucleus of the best secondary in SEC. Too bad he couldn't have done it right the first time. All the same, glad he realized the error of his ways.

D-Mo is gonna be an interesting one to watch come spring. i, too, wouldnt think he would do all that work and not give the same effort on the field. welcome to the board excitavol. cool username.

Believe it or not, Rivals and Scouts sometimes makes mistakes.

Morley is not great in coverage. He actually sucks in coverage. But he has good instincts and he's a big hitter.

Berry can play CB, safety, TB or WR and be a first day pick in the NFL draft. You'd waste his tackling ability if he were a CB.

What he has done is very commendable. It was a difficult road he has traveled. However it really is too early to say too much about how this is a success story. I will wish him the best and really hope he does great, but let's first see if he is able to succeed in his education at UT, the land of distraction, rather than a community college. It's a world of difference between the two. But once again, I wish him luck with his education first, and the football field second.

As I have posted elsewhere I was and am a Morley fan. Loved it when we signed him within shouting range of the Canes.

I think he will play inspired ball as he has now earned it, nothing given or expected, no longer entitled.

Just a "what if"...how much time would have Berry seen IF Morley had been eligible? Not looking for answers, just a little FFT (food for thought).

I agree with you; actions have evened out. I'm glad the guy chose to right his ship but let's see if he can consistently paddle his canoe in a straight line.

everyone makes mistakes IE. Let he who is pure cast the first stone. I seriously doubt you have lived the perfect life.

Congrats to Morley. Whether he becomes a stud at safety or not, he's earned my respect and a whole lot more.

having gone to both, it's not as different as you make it out to be. it probably would depend on the person though.

Agree completely. There are times when it doesn't even matter what happens on the field, and this is one of those times. I don't care whether he ever starts; I don't care whether he ever becomes any good. I admire him as a man for getting it together and working his way back into school. Good for him.

I always thought Morely was extremely overrated. I sometimes wonder if he felt his athletic ability would be enough to get him through whatever he faced. Playing safety that will never be the case. I'm hoping that these experience have taught him the value of using his head. I hope it translates to better/smarter playing from here on out. Good luck.

Anyway, I was definitely one of the Morley doubters, but I'm glad to see him show the work ethic I didn't think he had. By the way, the title of this thread has a grammatical error. Admit it, hat. Just kidding.

Pellissippi and UT are vastly different in so many aspects, I don't even understand how you could make a statement like that.

i guess it just depends. I went to Walter's State Community College for 2 years and now I'm at ETSU and I'm doing much better at ETSU than I ever did at WSCC.
