I have been the most consistently harsh critic of Demetrice Morley on this board. While I still have serious reservations about how much of a help he will be on the field, the character he has shown in working on his own dime and regaining his eligibility should be commended. Congratulations , young man. You've made me look like the Moron in this situation.

I'm pretty much in the same boat as you, one of my friends and I were discussing it and came to the conclusion that if he shows the same commitment on the field that he has shown to his studies and re admittance, he will be a force in the secondary.

and I must say, Cheers to D-Mo, you are exactly the type of example we need on this team.

based on the fact that he picked himself up from his lowest point and righted his own mistake, i have no doubt that he will give his best effort on the field.

I'll take the opportunity to soap box here. Congrats to D-Mo. I was a doubter and critic. He has done what he needed to do from an academic perspective.

But don't get to carried away with the praise. He caused his own problems and in no way should his actions be praised as an example. He has a second opportunity - back to square one if you will. I hope he makes the most of it this time.

Why wouldn't someone who made mistakes, hit rock bottom, then learned from and corrected said mistakes not be a good example? That's what life is all about, learning from your own screw-ups.

Morley has learned from his previous mistakes and has now shown he is willing to work hard to right himself. I believe this will also translate to his on field play. Or at least I hope it will.

I'll join in with the I'm sorries, but I hope he can produce on the field as well. I wasn't overly impressed by his risk-taking as opposed to sound defensive coverage.
