I don't really want to admit it but I think Muschamp will be a pretty good coach. He's got Weis running the offense and once they get the players they want from recruiting I think that offense will start killin it like he did at Notre Dame. And then you have a really strong defensive mind as the head coach so the defense should be pretty good. And left a lot of talent on the Gator roster so you never know. I think they go up.

Course I do think that we go up too and it'll be an interesting matchup next year ;-)
obviously you didn't watch alot of notre dame football when Weis was their, they suck pretty bad

You mean the coach you wanted and who turned you down so you could hire Milktoast Dooley?? And who beat you this year with the worst Florida team in over a decade? And you are mocking the weight of our OC when you had Fulmer as HC ?

Thi thread just gets better and better.

Not sure if your serious but Weiss is a terrific QBs coach with a stellar offensive mind.
Have you every paid any attention to any sports news after it came out that the patriots was filming other teams and stealing their signs Weis haven't been that guru of an O C since and that showed with Notre dame. Weis got his glory with Ty Willingham players Bradie Quinn & company and they weren't that good either.

How on earth do you have that many posts on a VOL website... That's the real question.

Because its the only place he can go to talk to informed knowledgeable football fans...He won't go to a gator board because half the fans over there don't even know what city UF is located in.

Smack talk directed to a team you've lost to seven consecutive years.

Brilliant.

You should be more concerned with beating mighty Furman....It should be your last win of the year...FSU should whip that a$$ good and IF you are lucky enough to get to a bowl from what I hear they are picking you guys to play Penn St in the gator bowl....Could change the name to the pedophile bowl since UF has a history of producing their own...The name Steve Babik ring a bell? :ermm:

Even in your lowest of lows this season........think about this one fact. It could be worse...........that douchebag Muschamp could be our head football coach and Weiss (Jaba) could be our offensive coordinator. BE GLAD YOU'RE NOT A GATOR!! I predict a downward spiral for that program...not as far as us of course but they are headed down.

This might be the dumbest post in the history of Vol nation. You were probably the same guy who said Spurrier's passing game would never work in the SEC, and then said Meyer's spread attack wouldn't work either because the SEC was too fast.

Do you really think Muschamp or Florida will stay down for long? He brings in two entirely different systems built for entirely different players. You have to give him until AT LEAST 2013 before you know anything tangible.

We are still Florida, regardless of the coach. The kids who are upperclassmen in high school, all they have ever known is Florida competing for titles. They want to be the kids to get Florida back to that competitive level. Read thier quotes..............they all say the same thing. we have a decent class this year as it stands, even though we have missed on some kids, I think we will finish with an overall decent class.

Dooley took over a program under recruited by Fulmer and butchered by Kiffin. Muschamp took over one the best jobs in the land with a recent history of recruiting dominance. What is your excuse for this joke of a season? Nextly, you guys will be starting all over again next year on offense. You will thereby suck as a team again next year. Then in 2013 we will have our best team in 12 years. Senior starters everywhere. The Gators will have a hodge podge of God knows what on offense with no clear direction of where you are even heading as a program. Good luck with the Muschamp/Weiss debacle.

Remind who installed BelichIck's offense and won 3 super bowls in 5 years, his offense was prolific at ND but his defense sucked, ask the Chiefs if they regret hiring him last year and when he gets his QB to UF, he will no doubt be well coached.

Would you take Weiss or Chaney?

Sometimes I get more disgusted with our Jerry Springer species of Vols fans than trolls like you Lawgator. Now, while I think your lizards have a potentially high powered coaching tandem, it may stumble badly. Your HC's attitude and behavior looks like it will alienate players who may opt to leave as a result. Already your university has had words with him and he issued the standard contrite statements. Fact is, habits are hard to break and being a type A personality as he is, even harder. In short he will lapse into the same spiteful person he really is and one thing will lead to another. he simply isn't given to humble respite.

Yep, the UT went after him when Hambone was our AD. But Hambone while an ideal fund raiser simply was horrible at hiring. Getting Muschie would have just compounded his legacy of failed hiring selections. I'll be the first to say we Vols fans are in no position to look down our noses at the UF or any other program. Being this is not your program, you should get out of here, stay out and "service" your giant lizards. Though reptile-human mating is a very disturbing image, your love for them is well-known and strictly your own business.

LMAO yes you are still FL and y'all will suck eternally. LOL and that's a fact. SO how do you explain that with all that talent you guys have you suckass this year? Go back and read the history of this post and maybe your little lizard brain will figure it out. Psst....I'll give you one hint--Meyer wasn't that good of a coach. His fame rests on Tebow's shoulders. Without Tebow he was lost. His successors are even more lost. Once you lose Rainey and Demps after this year I really don't see any upcoming leaders for your team. You are in for a downward spiral with that bunch in control of FL.:peace2:

Tebow definitely helped Meyer but he was plenty successful with Chris Leak and Alex Smith. Muschamp, however, absolutely blows.

So you have to give Dooley more time, but you can say "Muschamp blows" and "Muschamp sucks" after 10 games?

Interesting.

Interesting.

I thought Muschamp would be a terrible HC before he even left Texas. With all the talent Florida has, he's done absolutely nothing to prove me wrong. In fact, I didn't even take into account that he would repeatedly make a fool of himself on the sideline.

Bless your little pea-picking heart.

Muschamp took over a team as young as Tennessee, and as they currently sit right now, as many as, or even less, scholarship players than UT. I know many on here find that impossible to believe, but it's a fact.

meyer recruited well, but we didn't recruit for depth. We had turnover after the coaching change, and we had 4 or 5 people leave right before fall camp, and 2 left 2 weeks ago.

We return 17 or 18 starters next year, and 10 of those are on a defense that has played surprisngly well in a new scheme. We bring back 4 of the 5 starting OL we have, all but one WR, lose a QB who hasn't played well, and lose Demps and Rainey. Those will hurt, no question about it.

The clear direction we are heading now is back to a power football team that Weis/Muschamp desire, running plays off play-action and an aggressive, big defense that allows the linebackers to make plays.

If you really expected a dominant season from Florida this year, you are not very bright when it comes to football.

I admit I wanted Muschamp.

I admit I'm glad we didn't get him.

The ones calling for and expecting that for FL were all you Gator fans who though Meyer was god...which is 99% of you. Now you are finding out different and changing your tune which is expected when it comes to dealing with people like you. HAHA you're going to be just like people in South Bend, 'oh Weiss Weiss we got Charlie Weiss and he's got a great offensive mind and blah blah blah'. Well I'm glad you have his fatass there at FL instead of us having a curse like that. You'll find out soon enough. Then what will your story be?

Yeah, Gator fans had no reason to love Meyer.

I mean, all he did was win 13 games 3 of his 6 years, 2 national titles, only lost once to FSU and UGA, beat Tennessee every year he played them.

I have no idea why we would think the guy was actually a decent coach.

Maybe because you failed to take your blinders off enough to see that a lot of his success was from prior recruiting classes and Tebow. Without those two elements Meyer was a mediocre coach. That was proven last season. Of course, I guess he was better for FL in the sense that he didn't act like an idiot on the sidelines or resemble the Pilsbury doughboy.:loco:

I love these arguments. "If you didn't have Tebow, Percy, Rainey, Demps, Reggie Nelson, etc...........Meyer would have sucked."

How do you think Bill Bellichik would rank without Brady? How would Fulmer have done without Manning?

It's a stupid argument. Coaches are SUPPOSED to get players that will succeed in their system.

Let me ask you this. Would you take Meyer or Dooley?

Pffft..what a weakass response. I'd take Dooley any day of the week and twice on Saturday instead of Meyer cuz I didn't like him at all. He had the talent his last year and could do nothing with it. He retired before anyone could discover his dirty little secret==that he was a mediocre coach at best. It hasn't been proven yet that Dooley will turn out that way.

Are you learning about football yet? You seem to spend a lot of time trolling on this board LOL.
