Well, unfortunately Pruitt is still living the history of Jones. Some of his players are still on the roster. I can understand going from boss to boss in a short amount of time. It lowers the moral of the team due to uncertainty.

Think about it-
Jarret has gone threw how many OC's since he has been at UT. It is a thousand wonders that guy has not transferred out to a more stable program.

Sorry but I will not sit back after painfully watching every second of that crapfest game and tolerate any scapegoating of our OL. JG had ALL DAY to throw the football on most snaps despite our revolving door OL scheme he just couldn’t see the open receivers downfield. Despite 9 months of offseason coaching from some of the best in the business he hasn’t improved at all.

The majority consensus before the season began was that JG had to take a major step forward for us to win 6 or more games this season. The jury is in on JG time to put Maurer in and invest in the true Frosh. Can’t do any worse than the proven losing trajectory we’re on now.

6 tackles for loss and 4 sacks. If you truly believe he had all day you should change your name. JG didn’t do that well, but to pretend he had all day is completely false.

I'm telling you: they match his pay here, he can retire with $30 million. Don't forget, they still cared enough to hire Butch Jones just to rub our noses in it.

I know it sounds far-fetched at first glance. But isn't that a lot more believable than Georgia freaking State having the talent to just whip us on the field?

Truth is, UT is making a reality show. They needed to throw the first game and upset the fan base in order to drum up some good drama. I'm glad I finally figured this all out.. I feel much better now!

Jones was excited to be UT head coach and made Vol walk fun. Pruitt acts like it is an unwelcome duty. They may want vol walk to go away and it appears to be on the way out. One thing to remember - a very mediocre offense was practicing against a bad defense in the spring and summer so the true measure of what they had was not known to the coaches until they were wiped out by Georgia State. JG is not a ball player - he cannot elevate the offense and lead. Vols have a solid coaching staff who made a critical mistake making the Georgia State game an exhibition game and rotating linemen like musical chairs. There simply may be little SEC caliber talent on the roster and maybe the squad is a chubby, slow OVC group that will need to celebrate if they upset Kentucky or Vandy. Coaches need to comb entire roster for players with heart and give walkons a chance - surely there are kids that are excited to play SEC football - find them ASAP. Kids with personal problems slapping around girls etc. can hit the road.

There has been a disconnect with this team since the Mizzou game last year.

They have lost 3 straight games and demonstrated very little effort or desire to win in theses losses.

There is obviously something going on with this team.

I think many of the veterans don’t like Pruitt and won’t play their best for him.

Jeremy was hired December 2017 and did not start coaching til after bowl games. It is going to take some time to create a Jeremy Pruitt team. Still too much Butch hanging around. I saw one play that really sticks with me. A second half GAST run in touch down through three Vol defenders. That has got to stop. A good defense doesn’t get burned on plays like that from the GASTs of the world. Only thing that could be worse is another butt whipping by Vandy. I’ll shut up. Go Vols...fix it and win.

Betting that UT would lose would most certainly return more dough than betting against the spread I would imagine. Noone thought UT would lose that game.
