The running back situation yesterday. Sorry I didnt get home until 6am this morning and just woke up so I havent had a chance to gripe yet. Ok so we start Montario Hardesty and give him about 2 snaps the whole day, then Arian Foster goes in and has his normal mediocre day then we throw in LaMarcus Coker in the 2nd quarter and he busts a 40 yard run. Then we go Arian Foster except for 2 or 3 carries the rest of the game and Foster fumbles a ball which made the difference in the game. Why start Hardesty if your not going to play him, play your obviously infererior back the whole night, then you finally put in your best back he runs all over them and you pull him. What were Cutcliff, Fulmer, and Roper thinking?

coker was suspended for the first half. Hardesty didn't start well and foster was put in some. Foster was still warm in the second half and I think they thought he had the hot hand....Foster was running pretty well before the fumble.

Phil has never been one to lay down too strict of a punishment.. doesn't surprise me that Coker was playing in the first half. Foster was running very well before the fumble... he was eating up yards against the PSU Defense... which is hard to do on the ground

Quote from article in Tennessean:
"LaMarcus is not quite as physical as he needs to be quite yet, as far as some of the protection things and a lot of what we were doing at the line against their pressure looks,'' Fulmer said, explaining the sparse number of touches Coker had. "And,'' Fulmer added, "I thought Arian was doing well.''

If I remember it was that pass blocking thing that kept Jamal Lewis on the bench his freshman year until midseason.

Well Coker was just a freshman...I'm looking forward to his second year.

will volnation start to hate him if he has a down year like you guys jumped all over Foster after he was your online offensive highlight last season?

It will actually be his third year in the system!

But maybe we should simplify the schemes if talented players are having problems!
