Someone wrote an open letter to CBJ

So, Count, you're amazed that this little thing we call "communication" can cause butt-hurt.

It has been known to start, you know, wars and stuff.

I think, in part, he sees humor in the fact that anonymous letter directed at a millionaire football coach most of you've never met, seems to be having a massive effect.

Define "massive."

Tanks moving toward the border? Militia called up? Morning croissants cancelled?

Now that's not nice.

I wish you and count ( and a few others ) would reconsider giving cbj this season and possibly next ( depending on how this season plays out ). You and I have already discussed this. You told me there is no way to change your mind, but can you not at least give this man this one last year to prove how good he can be? Just let it go for one more year at the least???

I am as big of a Butch critic as anyone, but this is pure classless.

I admire the man for what he has done with the program, and yes he has had several disappointments, but he is a gentleman and professional. More than can be said for juvenile who wrote this.

If and when Butch does get things back on track to winning the East and competing for the SEC crown I will be on the Butch train. I am just not sure he is the man for the job at this point due to the evidence he has presented. I have had many seasons of preseason anticipation as a Vol fan and have since guarded my expectations, but I do think this is a fish or cut bait type of a season.

I hope he can bring it this season, but I am very tired of anyone telling me we had a successful season when you lost to Vandy and a South Carolina, suffered the worst defeat ever in the series to Alabama, and dropped a Sugar Bowl in Auburn's lap.

It is fair game to talk about his coaching but leave personal attacks out of it. That crosses the line.

We're four practices in to fall camp and this is how some spend their energy?

I admit it was a bit over the top. I actually love Hemingway. Love his writing, love how he was kind of crazy. He had has his vices, but he wasn't boring. I would definitely suggest watching an HBO movie called Hemingway & Gelhorn.

I've been super critical of Butch at times, but jeeze man.

The part about his son being removed from the roster after he's fired really struck me. Like damn, man. If Butch underachieves again this year I'll likely be calling for his head too, but why bring his kid into it?
