Have you watched a free throw in an NBA game? They all seem to buy into the idea. It's a ritual now that they touch hands with every teammate regardless if it goes in or not.

Well yeah. You're not going to chest bump after turning the ball over; you're going to chest bump and high five after td's and successful plays; which translate to wins. The more you have, the better you should be.

That is actually true.

There is also a Cat Fancy/Cigar Aficionado study which proved that teams that consistently make contact on "Up High's" and "Down Low's" but fail to connect on "Too Slow's" will be, on average, -18 on turnovers for the season.

I think ole Wes is just joking about how often butch chest bumps people. Might be true I guess but it sounds ridiculous.
