Peyton sure is a class act. Id love to meet that guy. But i doubt Berry will see it this way.

GREAT video by the way.

I hope he goes. It'd be a flat out dumb decision to comeback for a rebuilding project and risk injury when he can get a big fat guaranteed contract this year, something that may be off the table next year when the collective bargaining agreement expires.

Yea Peyton was in a little different situation. They were in a dominating time when he chose to return in hopes for a NC. Rebuilding years arent exactly icing on the cake for coming back.

0% chance Eric Berry stays in my opinion.

He would be really stupid to return and not because of what happened to Sam Bradford.

NFL is implementing a rookie salary cap after this year. Why would Eric Berry pass up a 50 million dollar contract for a 20 million dollar contract instead just so he can play one more year? As much as I would like to see it happen, Tennessee isn't winning a championship next year so what does he gain by returning? Breaking a record that everyone outside of Tennessee will forget about. Most of ours fans probably didn't know who held it until Eric Berry got close to breaking it so I'm sure fans from other teams don't know either. Would you come back to play with Nick Stephens or a freshman quarterback if it meant losing half the salary you'd get by leaving this year?

I'm pretty sure 10-20million dollars says different

Well, even if he goes... we have hopefully both these guys to look forward to--
YouTube - B2C: Berry Boys Interview

I like how Evan has a quiet demeanor about him, reminds me of Eric, not to mention I love the question "what happens if you guys meet playing CB and RB" to which Evan responds "he's gonna get smashed up." hahaha I love it.

these guys got serious speed. Would love to see them in orange.

I'll worry about his brothers if and when they come to Tennessee. They are 13 so who knows if they even end up being good. They may have been better than Eric Berry at 13 but that doesn't mean they will be better than Eric Berry at 17 or 20.

Until then, to me they are just two 13 year old kids that happen to be Eric Berry's brothers.

Obviously in today's day and age you wouldn't be a very good head coach. Times have changed wimberlake, kids are being offered scholarships when they are in the 8th grade. I don't disagree that this might be ridiculous, but you also can't ignore kids when they're breaking national records in track. Not so sure Lane would want you recruiting on his staff.

I'm not trying to be a coach and I'm sure you're a great one.

Anyways, name one 8th grade kid offered a scholarship in football because I've never seen it.

NFL is implementing a rookie salary cap after this year. Why would Eric Berry pass up a 50 million dollar contract for a 20 million dollar contract instead just so he can play one more year? two things... Bradford will still get drafted 1st round and i've seen a few boards that have him around 4th overall.
as far as the $$$. when you make 20 mil what would you have done with the other 20 or 30 that you might have gotten? I just dont see the money argument. There is a point in which you can't spend all the money. The only reason I could see him leaving would be for his parents. but his dad has said that they are ok.

What if he got hurt and 20 million was all he ever made?

People like Michael Jackson, Mike Tyson etc. had more than 100 million and they ended up broke.

Money isn't worth what it used to be. If you were smart with your money you could make 20 million last a long time but to buy a nice house in a nice neighborhood, that's a million dollars already and that house wouldn't even be that big. Then utilities and property tax every year is probably another 100,000 a year at least. 20 million doesn't last long if you want to live in a nice place and own nice things. You'd seriously take 20 million instead of 50 million to play on a team that probably won't even play in the SEC championship next year? I wouldn't. If I was going to make the same amount next year regardless, I would but not when it means losing half the salary I would have gotten. Doesn't make sense.

Also, at one point Bradford was considered a number one overall pick. Some mocks may have in the first round but he may not go in the first round. Some teams aren't going to risk paying a quarterback that kind of money with arm problems. He was injured twice in one year by college kids. What happens when Justin Tuck hits him? There is a good chance Jimmy Clausen, Jake Locker, Colt McCoy and Ryan Mallett could all go ahead of him. I know I'd take three of them ahead of him if it were me. I don't think McCoy is very good. That's if those three enter though and I think they pry will. Sucks for Mallett because another year would help him a lot but why pass up guaranteed money? The goal is to get to the NFL when you're as talented as these players.

there is more to the senior year than football. and if someone can't make 20 million last then they have serious financial problems. yeah his house wouldn't be shown on cribs or wouldn't have a car on unique whips. but hey he wouldn't be worried about $$

Anymore?

If that's the only one you can find then schools aren't offering 8th grade kids. One school is and you said I wouldn't be a good coach because I wouldn't offer an 8th grader. You really think Hawaii's coach is that good? If you're a good coach, you wouldn't need to offer 8th graders because proven 17 and 18 year olds want to play for you.

Thanks RMsmith, there's your 8th grade offer. I agree with Wimberlake on some fronts, I, too, am skeptical about McCoy being able to be an NFL quarterback, but it's hard to say the guy isn't very good winning 44 games at the collegiate level. As for Bradford, I still think he goes in the first round. Obviously it will depend on the combine and if he is healthy enough to have a pro day. That's almost all that matters anymore, if you're off the charts at your pro day or at the combine, your stock shoot's up faster than you can blink.
