Actually the point of this thread is entirely correct, even if it wasn't explicitly stated. The OP is rhetorically questioning the sense of running an up tempo offense if the offense substitutes players nearly every play, thereby allowing the defense no less than 10 seconds to sub their players to counter ours. It's a great point and one of many examples of butch jones' philosophical flaws on offense. Up tempo is intended to give the offense advantage by not allowing the defense to adjust to new alignments, thereby creating mismatches and advantages for skill players in space.
It would be like in chess, making a move that is intended to set up another move. Perhaps you run a play with a smaller lineup on 2nd and 1 against a defense that has subbed in a package designed to stop the run, only then to go no huddle and no sub to take advantage on this heavier defensive package for several plays with a intermediate distance passing game.
Whether you're smart enough to understand this or not has no impact on how you respond to other posters discussing this topic on VN, seeing as how almost all of your post history proves your only real intention is to promote butch jones' decision-making no matter what the topic is and no matter whether expressed frustrations with jones' and staff are warranted or not.
This might be why you speak of jones' as though you are privy to his decisions (I've seen this a lot from you). Your a Jones sycophant. And there's plenty more of your UTAD ilk on this site that will back jones bar-none while simultaneously bashing anyone who holds a less than positive opinion.
Since you appear to be one of several UTAD stooges on here, maybe you pass along to your boy Jonesy that many of us rational UT fans who cheer for the school before the HC don't appreciate that he coaches as though there's limited number of points that his offense can score each season and he has to ration them against opponents he views inferior or opponents he builds a two touchdown lead on. Apprec.
