Somebody has to say it....kiffin outcoached the hell out of saban

Come on guys. We didn't outcoach anyone

BPV..seriously...this is one of the most ludicrous statement you have ever made....what game were you watching. Kiffin put us in position to win with a masterful game plan...Saban sat on sideline and hoped his D could block a fg and lucky for him he had a guy 100 pounds heavier than our center and we had a gimpy kicker.
to say Kiffin didn't outcoach him is at best moronic.
please. Sans their prevent mode after Ingram's fumble and the fortune of an onside kick, it ends quietly at 12-3. I think we coached to a stalemate, which is fantastic.

Don't forget that Saban is overcoming an awful passing attack, as we did against UCLA and Auburn this season.

Kiffin outcoached him if it ends 12-3.
Last minute heroics aside...or last 3 minutes.
Kiffin outcoached him.
and you are correct....sure was nice if in worst case of tie as you say...to not see us floundering around lost on the sidelines clapping...and yes I loved what Coach Fulmer did for most of the time he was at UT....but clearly the change was needed and is loved

I'm going to agree with Papa on this one, Saban,(our personal feelings for the man not withstanding) is one of the best coaches around. He played to his strengths, the defense, and with 3 minutes left they had control. But, its obvious that our coaching staff is as good as anyones, and I think we're all very confident going forward that once this staff gets equal talent to the big boys, it will be about the players and execution on the field, and not about preparation and adjustments being made off the field.

Thing is....If Tennessee gets "blown out" then "Kiffin can't coach and has a big mouth".

If Tennessee wins or barely loses to a rival team (for instance---both #1's, Alabama and Florida)....well, "the coach has a big mouth".

Rival fans are starting to run out of excuses.....

Correction, they are OUT of excuses. We gave both teams all they could handle.

I just don't understand how that's the case. That is exactly the way Saban wins games with this team. We just so happen to employ the same philosophy and don't quite have the horses at this point. OBTW, anyone employing the ball control and D philosophy, damn well better have a good kicking game.

You can't blame saban for the play-calling since he doesn't call the plays. However, you can blame him for being a major douche.

He was respectful of Tennessee after the game though, so that pleased me.

Come on guys. We didn't outcoach anyone. We can now coach WITH anyone and won't lose due to preparation or gametime decisions. We will now win or lose based upon execution and these guys prepare us to execute well.

That doesn't mean we have the upper hand on Saban. The guy is one of the best there is. Matching them is a feat and I believe we have done it.

I rarely disagree with you BPV but this time you're wrong. If we had equal talent on the field you would be correct, but both Meyers and Saban have 3rd stringers that would start for us right now. If you get an equal job with far less talent then you are outperforming your competition.

I can't believe nobody has mentioned the 4 points Saban gave my Vols. They drive the ball down our throats the only time the did it all day. Run crash left for 8 yards on 1st and 10 from the 13. Have it 2nd and 2 from the 5. Our guys are gassed and sucking wind. He shows how much he "respects" us and tries to throw it to Julio......TWICE. LOL Trying to be cute and get Julio a TD. No way we stop the run there. Alabama can pay him 5 million a year for that, heck sign an extention. Thanks for the favor, it almost and should have cost you dearly in a year where our depth was costly. Pretty soon Alabama will be begging for favors like that and they won't come. Just tail pounding after tail pounding.

I can't say how proud I am of our players and coaches for the way they have stood and fought. Under the former staff, the teams would have rolled over under some of the situations and adversity they have faced.

Go Vols and after my first trip to Tuscaloser, Buck Fama!!!
