Simms to OL:

"****, I don’t care if I get hit. None of them are going to hit me hard enough to hurt me, anyway.”

One LSU guy sacked Vols QB Matt Simms in 1st quarter and told him, "We'll be here all day." Simms said, "That's fine. I'll be here, too."

Gooch said about Simms, "I've never seen a quarterback talk to a defensive lineman like that. Most quarterbacks will shy away."

If you don't know by now he is a team leader and a guy the team believes in ya'll are crazy. He'll be the starting QB next year book it.

Simms should have said,

"If I wanted a kiss I would have called you 'mother'."

Unlike you Mason... Simms is one of the few things we have to hang our hat on... good luck w/ your nega thoughts..

He got heart and isn't afraid of a fight. You need that as a leader. He'll make that OL wanna go to war to protect him. They're not doing so hot right now. But, they'll get better and by the end of the season, should be solid. We'll get Schofield back probably for the Bama game. Maybe "Stinger Boy" too.

^ how can you not gain more respect for a guy that has that fight in him. He may not be the most gifted qb we have had, but I like how tough he is. I would really love to see him have time to throw the ball and see what kind of qb he really is.

I like Simms. It isn't fair to criticize him and say he is a bad QB until he has an adequate line. His fight is unmatched along with his heart. I'm thinking he'll be the starter next yr and if our OL is as good as they're supposed to be I'm thinking he could be solid.

I have gained a lot of respect for Simms. Every time he gets hit he gets up, dust off, and goes on with the next play.

He must be completely cartilage.

Like a shark? Well, that settles it....here is what Simms really is.

Simms seems like a real stand up guy. His dad did a very good job. I'm still waiting to judge him on his QB skills because it's hard to really judge when he's so new and he's pulling turf out of his helmet every other play. I especially like how he hasn't called the o-line out.

I like Simms. He's leading by example and his team is learning to respect him. I think he will be really a really tough SEC QB next year once this line grows up a little. Barring injury or something stupid, I see Bray sitting two years.

Yes he will. Dooley loves him, the team respects him, and is improving every week. Next year he'll have a more experienced surrounding cast and another year in the offense and should be a lot better.

I like it!! There is a fine line between cockiness and confidence, but I take this as confidence. I look forward to see him back up what he says with stats. GBO!!!
