Some UT "fans" are total pieces of poop

That's right. Total pieces of $h^&. All this nonsense seems to have been brought on purposely by fans. No one at UT gives a rats a$$ about what that guy was doing at Penn St. He has been a head coach at two major programs in college, a head coach in the NFL, and now a DC at Ohio St. If he had a role in the Penn St scandal it would have effected is position at one of his previous stops. Awfully convenient that UT fans dont like the choice, now all of sudden he is at the heart of the Penn St scandal. What a joke. Unreal.
It's obvious that you and 11 others have no problem with what happened.

Oh thats what it is. Yeah right on buddy, McQuearys testimony was so believable that the DA in the criminal trial said it was uncredible that what Bradley told McQueary about Schiano. Yet in an insurance claim trial where burden of proof is going to be much less have at it. If i remember correctly under oath Bill Clinton said "I didnt have sexual relations with that woman" So no no one would lie under oath

Was this the DA that mysteriously disappeared and subsequently was found dead? Or his predecessor that enjoyed breathing?

Again for you slow people; perjury in a civil trial is just like perjury in a criminal trial.

You guys defending Schiano's actions are far more pathetic and embarassing then the Gruden nut huggers.

And for all the talk about outside of East Tn, let's just see how many jog offers Greg Schoano and Tom Bradley get going forward.

Read the facts. They're a quick Google search away.

I guess since Mike McQueary’s testimony on what Greg Schiano knew or didn’t know doesn’t matter, I guess we should just say this testimony doesn’t matter either:

“On the second day of trial, "Victim 1", the youngest of Sandusky's alleged victims, testified to over 20 incidents of abuse, including unwanted and forced oral sex, by Sandusky during 2007 and 2008 while the boy was a participant in Sandusky's Second Mile program. The boy was 11 or 12 years old when the sexual abuse started.[78][79] Mike McQueary, former Penn State graduate assistant football coach, testified that in 2001 in a Penn State locker room, he heard "skin on skin" slapping sounds coming from the showers. McQueary testified that he then saw Sandusky naked behind a 10- to 12-year-old boy propped against a shower wall, with "Sandusky's arms wrapped around the boy's midsection in the closest proximity that I think you could be in."

No thanks. Greg Schiano can stay wherever he is. We have enough problems at this university as it is.

Facts are only conveinient when you dont try to push an incorrect agenda. few things worth noting. One fact is that McQueary is merely repeating a story he says he heard from Bradley about what Bradley said Schiano said to him. This is multilayer hearsay and not immediately admissible in any court of law. McQueary never asked Schiano about it and the two never worked at Penn State at the same time.

Well considering Schiano left in 1995 three years before the first documented allegations, wtf does Schiano have to do with something that happened in 2001.

None of us are trying to put Schiano in jail. You are missing a huge point.

We just don’t want him HERE. IN OUR PROGRAM.

Whether or not he was involved or knew is between him and God and the others involved. It’s a debatable point, for sure.

But that doesn’t mean you want that guy HERE.

He should have NEVER been an option. Period.

If your so concerned about Schianos career and future, go picket Curries house, because without his COMPLETE incompetence yesterday, Schiano would still happily be coaching his defense and we would be happily following our coaching search

Currie caused this issue. No one else.

“The grand jury identified eight boys who had been singled out for sexual advances or sexual assaults by Sandusky, taking place from 1994 through 2009.[4] At least 20 of the incidents allegedly took place while Sandusky was still employed at Penn State“

Sandusky sex abuse witnessed by six football coaches in 1970s - NY Daily News

And ole Jerry had been doing this a lot longer than what he was officially brought to justice for.

Just because something isn’t provable with evidence in a court of law does not necessarily make it blatantly false either. It just means you do not have enough evidence to make it through a proper trial. I highly doubt Jerry Sandusky just suddenly rolled out of bed one day at 50+ years old and decided he just wanted to start having sexual relationships with underage boys. I’m sure that was a lifelong thing. Just saying. That entire coaching staff knew what was happening there and covered it up. Get real.

The fact this has turned into a complete **** show is EXACTLY why you don’t try to hire people with any potential ties to that scandal. You just avoid it like the plague. And Currie showed he was a incompetent idiot by doing so.

What do the last three UTK Head Football Coaches all have in common? Answer THAT question, and then AD John Currie should have a very good clue about what NOT to look for in the next head football coach. I think the obvious things ... their gender, number of arms, legs ears etc., etc., skin color (I could go on and on) are the things that don't count. What does count is their age and level of experience. These were all relatively young coaches with (relatively) not really that much experience. Sure, they may have all had a few names to drop and might be fun to have a beer with at The Old College Inn ..... but not one of them was someone (who I would say) commanded the kind of respect that ONLY time and experience brings to the coaching profession. Without that kind of respect, at least one coach resorted to fear tactics, another coach attempted to take all of the credit for things that went right for himself and then blame the team for all that went wrong. Then there was the young coach who was ONLY interested in his own career direction without any real regard for his team or the UT fans. Sure, each one of these coaches would probably be fun to hang out with on a Friday night down on the Strip ... but that did not make them good head coaches for UT. I've been saying this before Kiffin was hired and I'm still 100% sure I'm right about it now: Coach Mark McHale would make a great head coach for UTK. (And Brett Farve would probably help Mark by offering some much needed advice w/regard to the QB position)

I'm going to type this really slow for some of you....

Allegations against Sandusky go back as far as the 70's.

Allegations against Paterno knowing go back as far as 1991. Penn State police records indicate this. Is that documented enough for you?

Berating a fan base that said hell no to a guy who likely was involved in turning a blind eye to raping little boys is not a good look for anyone.

Spend some time checking out when Sandusky started his Second Mile foundation and then draw your own conclusions as to when he started molesting boys on campus.

Spend some time checking out when Paterno put restrictions on where he could have boys from his foundation on campus. Check out why Paterno put these restrictions in place.

If there is a fanbase that needs berating, I would suggest starting in College Station Pennsylvania.

Jones beat him handily. His record 67-67 something like that. Bucs players couldn’t stand him. Not a good hire without the penn tragedy. Let’s move on

...and you're all oblivious to the fact. Sad

Let’s flip the script shall we? What benefits do we have by hiring him? His .500 record? The tarnished past? The administration is going as cheap as possible for the sport that single handed funds the AD. When the Vols are winning we bring 102,455 to every game. Yet they find a coach like that to replace our current dumpster fire? Get out of here.

And the guy is regarded as one of the biggest a-holes in the business. Why he was a candidate even without the scandal links is beyond me. Pure, belligerent stupidity.
