I always hear the offense sucks. I wouldnt go as far as saying our offense sucks. We have talent around the ball. We just need better QB play. Our defense has to take some of the blame too. This Florida team shouldnt have scored 31 points. I think our offense actually scored enough points to win the game if our D could have stepped up on 3rd down. We have had a good home stretch. Hopefully we will end it 2-2, but when we get on the road in the SEC our offense is going to have to step up. Our D is going to have to step up also. I know we have a game before LSU, but a win at Death Valley would be a great way to start this tough 4 game stretch. :good!:

Why is it when we run our hurry up offense we do much better moving the ball then going at our slow pace?

I think it's because Simms actually had to spend less time thinking about what he was doing and instead was busy running for his life and getting rid of the ball quickly.

our offense would have ended up with only 3 points if not for a couple of busts by Florida defensive backs. wasn't great plays by UT but poor plays by Florida.

It works both ways, UF got at least one TD on our own blown coverage in the endzone. The first TD pass to Moore created confusion through beautifully executed routes and had more to do with our play than UF being dumb.

When you're in a hurry-up situation, the defense isn't playing up close like they do all game. They back off and let you complete the short passes down the field, playing the long ball safe.

Milks the clock.

simms and dooley both said that the hunter TD was a designed play. they knew the safety would bite on the underneath and simms was trying to run around and give him time to get open.
idk how that is considered not a good play by UT on coaches and players

I'll give you that but the bite by the DB was still blown assignment on the Florida kids part.. Good job of scouting and executing by us then..
