some quick notes...

Every year we get all jacked up about new recruits... I guess that's normal. But then guys who are in the program kind of get forgotten. But they usually show up again when the pads start popping.

Everyone this time last year was sure that Brown would start at RB, Nuke and/or Teague would shine over the old guys, that Askew was a shoe in, etc.

Teague has now played in real SEC action. He's seen what it takes. He's participated in UT's S&C program for close to a year. He still has a chance to be a very special player at UT as a WR.

Teague was the best WR in last year's class including Nuke. He can be really good there. A lot of people started penciling him in at DB because he didn't start last year and because of his size, but part of it is what you said. People just assume that these freshman WRs are better than the last ones and will push Teague to DB. Who says Teague isn't better than Matt Milton?

Teague has not thoughts of playing DB, showing up super early for workouts w WRs. Poole is doing the same.

Moore, Gerald Jones, Ben Martin, Reveiz, Nick Stephens, Gerald Williams and Poole are stepping up as the team leaders.

Berry ran a 4.31 at pre combine workouts.

4.31....daaaaammmmmmmmmmnnnnnnn

is there a video? that time is from his 06 year right?

Wow! I swear I could have read this stuff on another site. Thanks for the update....not!
 Quit being a jerk.

Glad to see some leaders stepping up.

I hope Tampa passes on Berry and he falls to the Skins. I see good things happening there under Shanahan.

Some of you folks are completely missing the point here. There's nothing with posting the info, just cite where you get it from and don't make it look like it's yours.

Nobody is trying to claim info like they own it. He said it was a snippet of info. Dude chill out & quit over reacting.

I appreciate this update about actual current players and team progress. Most of the other threads are about some kind of drama b.s.

Poole was actually running the ball very well in the bowl game last year. I think he may do very well this year.

I hope Teague stays at WR. I think he's going to be one of the more constant reliable WR's next year. He already has true experience in the SEC so if he continues to work his butt off this offseason I think he'll do fine.

I'd be curious to know how our injured players from last year are progressing...

Nick Reviez
Tony Williams
Savion Frazier

... and whoever else I'm not thinking of. Will any or all of them be able to participate in spring practice or will it be more like August before they see the field?

It frustrated me to no end watching CPF keep guys on the bench their first 2 seasons until they earned their way onto the field.

Watching X shove out true freshmen excited me at first, then watching Nuke behave like a moron, unappreciative of what had been given him immediately, made me temper my criticism.

Perhaps a coach who can recognize talent and prepare a kid to play will get some freshmen in games early, but they need to be made to understand the privilege being given them.

It's painful to watch a chump take his opportunities for granted.

Not gonna lie, I just got a big tinge of excitement. Very pumped for spring practice to hear about the young guys getting into their roles.

Very excited about
Hughes, Myles, King, Milton, Brown, Oku, Gordon, Poole, and a slew of other young talented VOLS that are going to try and step up for playing time.

Should be a very exciting spring.
