Now that we have had a day to let our emotions digest, me included, their were some positives to take away from the game.

We may have found some more viable receivers: Arnett looked good catching the ball and showed some shifty moves. Dallas and Milton both made a catch and hope they show continued improvement. Rivera will force future opponents to worry about defending the middle of the field and not just the peremiter.

Defense looked solid in the first half: After UF's first drive the defense settled down in the first half. The defense was constantly put in a bad position and was able to hold UF to field goals.

We competed the whole game: This impressed me the most. Last year our team would have just rolled over and been blown out being down 30-7, but this year was different. With 2 minutes to go in the game we were driving to pull within one score, and anything could have happened with an onside kick especially with Palardy kicking.

Please add more positives to this thread that come to you.

Some good points.. However, when it comes to run blocking somebody better light a fire under the OL's collective a$$... This standing up and waiting for the DL to come to you is getting old real fast... They need to start treating the guy across from them like he just called their mama a ******n sl*t..

I was impressed with the way Arnett played. He got thrown in the fire and stepped up big. He looked comfortable in his position. Alot better then Zach rogers.

We have the best sophomore QB in the nation. Denard Robinson? No thanks, keep your sub 50% completion games and multiple interceptions.

Agreed bray for the most part played excellent in the game. Really struggled in third down. D Rogers never really stepped up till the end of the third quarter.

There are enough negative threads out there. Trying to stay positive on this one.

Isn't this a negative post itself?.... Haaa.... I kid... Arnett did look good as stated above... Me thinks he will be busy the rest of the year... I'm hoping to see more of Dallas as the year goes on..

We didn't quit. Period. We fought and kept fighting after all the mistakes and tough situations. There seem to be a lot of good young leaders on this team that will continue to improve. These guys fight no matter what.

Hunter went down, blocked punt, all the adversity and the team didn't quit and held them to field goals in the first half. that was a huge positive.
after watching the blocked punt on TV I thought we were done. but apparently the team didn't give up.

1. Bray is a stud and no sophomore jinx
2. Arnett needs to be in the game more
3. Lane is good target out of the backfield

I agree. I only want to focus on the positives. Another positive is that our coach didn't look like a raging fool who is an emotional train wreck waiting to happen.

Seemed to of worked for the emotionally distraught girl of a coach UF has.

Bray still had his composure after throwing his first pick of the year. Our LB's are some studs, with 2/3 being freshman. This team is far from over. It's one lose, we WILL overcome this and pull an upset this year. Someone said it earlier, we will soon be 3-1.....GO VOLS!!!!

Not quitting is the best news for our team. That is the thing that has pissed me off in past years. These guys were able to respond to adversity and keep the score close.

I agree with most the No Quit and effort was there for our Vols. Another positive was that our defense was in position most of the time but we have to gang tackle and wrap up! The off week will help this team heal both mentally and physically and get ready for Buffalo. We can still go 8-4 or 7-5 at worst. GBO!
