Some of you so-called "fans" on here..........

Yes, It has to be the fanz fault.

Go look at the replay of a 300 # UT Junior Lineman miss block after block after block.
That speaks volumes about the Coaching taking place!!

One can lead a horse to water, but one can not make him drink.

Challenge accepted, resume sent. I am certain that I can do a better job of coaching than Debord has done over the past 3 weeks. Hell, that's an easy threshold to hurdle.

There are some fundamental truths surrounding UT football.

First, there's always unrealistic expectations in the off season. Every recruit is a "beast" and an all american waiting to happen. UT is destined to go 13-0 and win another national title.

Second, UT will always play down to their opposition. They will not be laying 59-0 scores on inferior opponents like Clemson and others do. When they play a weak sister, you always count on it to be closer than expected and worrisome.

Third, UT will always be injured at key spots especially before critical games. It's a law of nature.

Fourth, UT will wilt when on the big stage. Since the 98 title game, when do you remember a big game...one that really means something in the season or grand scheme of things....being won by the good guys? It seems that when the lights are brightest, we lay the biggest egg.

Fifth, there will always be glass half empty types and folks who are always full with orange kool-aid. Neither is right all the time and neither is wrong. I consider the half empty types are likely afflicted by the Tenn Cup syndrome and practicing a self protective mechanism. Admittedly, I fall into this category.

I hope they have their break out game and blow the doors off UF. This fan base needs it but butch won't do something like that. If we get up by 2 scores, he'll take the foot off the gas and it will be a nail biter or we'll blow it again.

We need to be legit and playing for something important again. I'll believe it when I see it though. Would be great to face Bama with something other than a bowl game to play for. Just don't have faith in this team or staff. Wish I could ignore history but.....

This has been a weird start to a season. You would think we were 0-2 by the way fans are acting. We have looked flawed, but so has everyone else besides Bama.

App State - Sure we played bad, but we did something we haven't really done. We came back from a double digit second half deficit...and won. That in and of itself shows growth from last year.

VT - We got down early and fought back. Biggest stage any game has every been played on too. We showed flashes of being really good in a facets of the game. Won by 3 td's doubling the spread.

If we put it all together, we have the potential to beat everyone on our schedule. Considering where we have been the last 10 years, I am confused by some of you.

It's not that we have looked flawed during these games, it's the fact that we've looked straight up atrocious.

All summer long we've read how this team has worked harder and made great strides in both the passing and the running and yet here we are still not able to hit a wide open receiver and not able to block air apparently.

If they apparently worked "so hard" then we wouldn't be struggling against teams we shouldn't, the fact that Miami straight up took App State behind the woodshed and beat'em like they stole something tells me we aren't very good. Our talent is just as good if not better than Miami and yet we're the ones who struggled......at home.

It's great to be a fan and to say you're behind the team and what not, but that's no excuse to accept mediocre play.

Based on the first three games I will be surprised if we don't lose the next four. Also don't play that whole "where we've been" crap, I know where we've been, we've been to the top and we should be there right now. This is not a young team, this is a top heavy team with a combined 41 JR and SR players, there is no excuse for this crap.

With the talent we have and the losses above us, we should've been either in the top 5 or at least knocking on the door, instead we're going down faster than a $10 hooker.

So idk what the problem is, be it mental or coaching or what, but something needs to change and it needs to change fast or we can expect to just grab 4-5 loses and go right back to where we were, at the bottom.

These are about coaching. We just haven't been particularly good at hiring.
