Some of the worst officiating I've seen in a while.

Every fan base does this. Blame the officiating when your favorite team loses.
I'm not blaming them. I'm just pointing out what I saw. The block in the back would have brought their first TD back, but they may have scored anyway.... who knows.
The late hit they wasn't called was on their FG scoring drive and would have backed them up 15. It may not have made a difference either.
The guy getting popped took a helmet to the face and was then knocked completely off his feet.... runner is down and defenders standing there looking at him.IMG_6334.JPGIMG_6334.JPG

No doubt we lose regardless but also no doubt there were some bad no calls. The targeting one blows my mind. They kick kids out for nothing every week and then don’t call it in an obvious targeting situation.

True. It's been consistently bad in our games for quite sometime now but yes, refs didn't cause UT to lose this game.

I agree the officiating has been terrible. The SEC really seems to protect higher ranked teams. They get calls and no calls at a ridiculous rate. It's been going on for years.

It's a problem in close games, which tonight was not.

I missed the game, but saw the highlight of UGA's first TD. There was a pretty clear block in the back. He extended his arms and everything. I guess the officiating was just as bad at my kid's soccer game so it's just a general malaise and lack of professionalism among all officials?

Actions speak louder than words and we are not good and they are.

If you think that is mostly due to coaching, there's no helping you. Pruitt inherited a muscle car that had been rotting in a field for a decade after being set on fire. Smart inherited a sports car that needed a tune up. One takes longer to get race ready than the other.

Yes, the zebras missed some calls but we would have lost regardless.

The missed targeting call did tick me off.

Even my 9-year old caught the missed targeting call AND the block in the back on their 1st touchdown run. It was bad enough to watch the missed calls but then I had to listen to him complain about them for the rest of the game. UGH...

UGA was going to win this game. The refs made sure of that.

Holding? Nah...
Pass interference? Nah...
Targeting? Nah...

Lined up three inches behind the line? Penalty.

Oh, UGA doesn't have any timeouts left? Injured ref.

Maybe it was just my eyes, but this game seemed like it was over before it started.

missed a blatant block in the back on UGA during the fumble scoop score.

The missed targeting was rediculous. Pruitt should have slow snapped to give replay booth more time. Instead we snap it like WE don't want the replay booth to look at it. Classic.
