Some of the Good Times...

Yea it does. Me and my dad went to that game it rained for most of the game if I remember correctly. We were leaving with 2 minutes left thinking it was over and Arkansas would run the clock out when he fumbled and the stadium shook with the crowd going nuts. Now we still had to drive 40 yards down the field and score but we had a determined Travis Henry who would not be stopped of the end zone. I was convinced it was destiny that we would win it all after winning that day.

We were at the game and will never forget it. Pouring down rain, and our team NEVER gave up, and neither did the fans. Arkansas played a hell of a game. It seemed like Divine intervention to us on the fumble..even to this day.

I'll never forget Stoerner tripping over his guards foot and laying the ball on the turf and us getting the recovery. I almost had a heart attack !! We were destined that year to win it all. So many little things just went our way during the season for us to wrap it all up in the Fiesta Bowl. Sometimes seems like only yesterday and then sometimes a million years ago... But I digress .....

Bobby Bowden said something about that as I recall. What a game. And Keith Jackson couldn't even bring himself to say the word "Tennessee" until halftime.

I was there for a few of those. The blocked punt in Athens was a lot of fun. I would say that the best overall football experience from my time on The Hill was when we beat Florida when Wilhoit nailed that kick after missing the PAT. I remember all of those clips except the Sugar Bowl win over Miami. I was too young then.

Unbelievable how far we have fallen.

Seems like so long ago. One of the greatest series I can remember was after the fumble recovery against Arkansas, Travis Henry simply took over. 4 or 5 where he turned into a beast.
