Some Of Butch's Latest Pub On ESPN

Vols media, other school media and national media are tearing into Jones.

When they can effectively copy/paste their "this is what went wrong" articles a mere 2 weeks separated... That's a huge problem.

They do seem to be enjoying themselves.

Trending: DOWN

In only three FBS contests this season has a team carried a lead of 13 points or more into the fourth quarter and lost the game. Tennessee has done it twice, against Oklahoma and Florida. Good old Rocky Flop.

And insult to injury:

Memphis Tigers

Trending: UP

Tigers coach Justin Fuente is looking more and more like college football's next big thing. The Tigers are 4-0 for the first time since 1961 after beating Cincinnati 53-46 on Thursday night, and their 11-game winning streak dating to last season is tied with TCU for second longest in FBS.

It's ugly.

I don't see anything pro-Butch coming out until he wins a meaningful game.

Ark would be a good start.

I am sorry but CBJ earned every bit of derogatory comments - now if he can just OWN them and LEARN from them. I get if he is coach speaking the media and the rest of us - but he better not be doing it to himself.

To Vols fans.

That game means little in the SEC as both Ark and Tenn have been less than impressive. No idea how it landed the 7pm slot.

Beating a team that Toledo also beat won't personally impress me.

I agree with all those sentiments.

Just remember, Les Miles made a lot of stupid decisions early in his career at LSU.

Tennessee will have to beat a team that we are NOT supposed to beat to change the perspective of a lot of fans.

I just KNEW after the mistakes made against Oklahoma that Tennessee would come out full-throttle for four quarters against Florida. To watch Tennessee make the same mistakes in yet another big game was incredibly difficult to watch. I just want to watch a game where the play on the field (against a quality opponent) convinces me that Butch has learned from the losses Tennessee fans and players have had to endure so far this year. I respect the man and love what he has done for Tennessee since he has taken over, but at some point he will have to start winning in big games and, honestly, I am tired of "waiting until next year."

The absolute best thing that Butch can do this weekend is don't take the foot off the gas! If we are up by 20 with less than 2 mins to go, push forward and score, score, score and score some more!

I watched Butch's show yesterday from down here in dawg country. As I watched him making notes, while watching the film, Butch says the Vols need to learn how to finish the game. I said you got to be kidding me. This guy thinks he is doing nothing wrong! As many have pointed out, he is getting roasted by the media (and us) as to his game management/decisions/etc. If UT ever decides that Butch is not the man, he is going to have a hard time finding another HC job because, right now, he is showing his lack of skills to the football world. It's really sad. Butch thinks he is doing everything right and in many many views he is not. When do you ask yourself maybe I am doing something wrong?

Even worse is this dude has UT in the "eliminated" (for possible inclusion in the championship playoff) while Memphis is in his "on the fence" category.vv:cray:

Chuck Oliver just brutalized him on the radio in Atlanta.

This is going to kill recruiting if it keeps up.

It's not going away. It is now clear to absolutely everyone, everywhere that they guy can't coach; no getting that toothpaste back in. He's all cliche and devoid of actual coaching acumen. Crying youth won't help him now. It absolutely sucks, but it's reality.

Is this just the tip of the Iceburg, with Jones coaching and game management, losing to inferior teams?
Stay Tuned.

UT pays Butch Jones 3.5 Million/yr to coach, don't forget!
