from John Brice at volquest on the Sports Monster

The hot seats looks to be on Chavis.

The offense has been dumbed down even more. The offense we are using now isn't close to what they where running before the season started. They where running more of a spread (5 wide) with alot of movement.

Mike Hamilton is not pleased. That being said CPF is going to be hard to move out because of money.

That was the summary of the whole interview.

What I took away Chavis will be the first to go. Crompton just can't grasp it.

Pretty much the same thing Brent Hubbs said on the Wake-Up Zone just a few minutes ago.

I was afraid of this. Sounds like Fulmer might be able to save his job by agreeing to purge another assistant. Chavis should have been gone a couple of times over already.

Yeah if you can't even hold on to the ball, go through a 3 receiver progression, manage the clock, etc. How can you run any type of complex offense using 5 wr sets and lots of motion? Not gonna happen. dey sure do raise em brite up dere in em hills. Looks like we're gonna see the ol Rip Shears patented "run, run, pass, punt". Hope the D holds.

Look on the bright side. You bring in a top quality DC like Will Muschamp and earmark him for the next HC in a year or so.

From how he said it and how it was talked about. More donors and people see the way we are loosing and getting out scored is on the D end of the game. Not that CPF was looking to hang someone.

he's not taking another lateral move and hamilton's not going to hire fulmer's replacment while fulmer's still the head coach.......

Your not making any sense at all.......if the offense and Crompton are big problems, then why would Chavis get fired???? His defense has SUCKED the past 2 years, and the passing attack has carried 'em........This year, the defense is carrying the offense more or less.......Chavis has NOTHING to do with the offense......what r u trying to say.......

Then we SIT him and let someone else that can grasp it play. I'm afraid we'll have to lose 2 more games before they sit him though.

Think about how bad the others are if Crompton is the best we have.

I think it's safe to say that if someone else grasped the offense better, they would be playing. Fulmer might like to play his older players -- but he is also well aware he might lose his job and reputation if he doesn't start winning.

I 100% Agree!!!
I think this guy gets hype for the games and the players feed off of him. He is an in your face type coach with Discipline. GO GET EM HAMILTON.

Find it interesting that Chavis is on the hot seat. I'm not saying he has done a great job, but the problems on this year's team has not been on defense.

At UCLA the offense had so many 3 and outs the defense was on the field all day. By the 4th quarter they were dead.

Allowed 3 points to UAB.

Florida's first 17 points were the result of short fields and a punt return. Florida's first TD in the 2nd half the drive started in Tennessee territory.

The problems are primarily with the offense and special teams so far.

Im just telling what was talked about. They all noted the UCLA defense fall in the second half and the fact we can't come up with a stop on a 3rd down for the past 5 years.

The fact that we have a new O Coach takes some pressure off for the "adjustment period" in turn puts it well on Chavis.

Lol, fans like you deserve Fulmer.

As bad as he may be, his teams have pretty much stomped bammer year in and year out. Now, we can talk about our team and coach all we want. You should be out raising money for more players, not on a UT site being a prick.

Say what you will about Chavis, but he's held up his end of the deal this year. The Clawfense, on the other hand, has been a complete failure. If we had even marginal offensive play, we blow out UCLA and make it a game with UF.
