Some more love for Dobbs

Ladies and gents. Do realize what epic possibilities are here? This has the potential to be the biggest moment in VN history.

#1 Dobbs on a legit Heisman run
#2 That requires the Vols winning big
#3 D4H either tapped out and missing it or begging for forgiveness to come back and celebrate

This collision of amazing is the sports equivalent of a man on the moon or Berlin Wall coming down.

One caveat ... The Heisman is a stupid media hype award. But we'll forget that in this one case.

Unless Jackson unfortunately gets injured he will win the Heisman this weekend VS Clemson

No he won't. He's actually going to be up against a team that has a defense. Don't give me that FSU has a defense because they don't....they've been manhandled this year. Jackson is gonna get brought back down to Earth this weekend. Clemson wins 30-21.

I'm not banking on Dobbs keeping up his level of play that we saw against FL. He's had big games before, and he followed them up with underwhelming performances. If he can finally consistently step up in the pocket and make the throws and read the defense right, that'd be awesome. But I'll believe it when I see it. I predict him to get ~300 tot yds against GA, 200 pass and up to 100 rush with 3 tot TD's and 1 INT.

Which are Heisman type numbers. Dobbs doesn't have to throw for 350 yards a game to be in the conversation. He needs to be efficiently successful. If he throws for 150 yards a game and rushes for 100 yds a game- he's a Heisman candidate if he doesn't turn it over. It depends.

Would mean so much to us fans, but can't imagine how much it would mean to him and his family.

Anything is possible.

As well he should. So often the Heisman feels like a popularity contest, but if that kid keeps playing at the level he has there is no question that he deserves it this year.

Defeating the Aggies in College Station will be more difficult than beating Bama in Knoxville....

I agree with that. I have to say in a way I feel this Georgia game has turned more into the so called "trap game" than TAMU has. Everybody had that game pegged as the trap game. With TAMU being better than expected and UGA looking less than stellar the last few weeks and us coming off the Florida win it has that feel to it IMO.

Dobbs was mentioned during the Texas Tech/Kansas game as a Heisman contender. Thoughts on this? It's been a hot minute since a Vol QB, any Vol really, has been mentioned for the Heisman.

I hope we continue to see the Dobb's we saw against UF that is the SR Dobb's I had hoped we would see all year. We need that Dobb's every game to be able to beat UGA and to have a chance at A'M and against the Bammers. I'm cautiously optimistic he has turned the corner and plays that well the rest of the year. Long as there is no Florida hangover he should be able to put up good passing and rushing yards because this is an average at best GA secondary and Defense. But we won't know till mid afternoon tomorrow. We already know we have explosive receivers when they are catching the ball. Would love to see Tyler have a big game in the slot and get free on a deep pass or two..I want to see this speed he has, we have already seen the route running and great hands he has. Time to get him a deep pass or two. So far he hasn't gotten a chance to run in open space or get deep down field. I'm looking forward to seeing that. And hopefully PW gets right and we see more of him too. With Malone,Jennings,Byrd,Smith and Williams at WR and Croom and Wolf being mismatches at TE we should see a lot more of what we saw Saturday. Outside of Ala we won't see a secondary even close to UF the rest of the year so there's a chance to put up some big passing numbers. Still would love to see Johnson get a few snaps also. We definitely have some future NFL players at the WR position.
