At best I thought we were 6-6 this year. I still think that's optimistic. Nothing against Pruitt. Our guys have to learn Pruitts game while unlearning Butch's.

I agree he has a reason but you can tell he isn't what he was last year.
Not practicing much this off season and having that serious health issue on his mind seems to have set him back. Could be with new coaches and scheme as well. Maybe this Sat helps with motivation and turning it up a notch

Im gonna give Trey a pass due to what he may have/ or going through with his blood clot. Jahmir isnt ready. Richmond plays like a Fr.
If that medical thing is an issue, he shouldn't be playing at all. For his own sake.

I'll be honest I didn't think talent wise this team was a 4-8 team last year. I expected 7 wins this year. I was wrong. I still think this team is better than they have played but it really is very ugly watching them play. Not one person on our oline has played very well and that includes Trey Smith. Nobody on our dline either.
I expected 6 or 7 wins too. From what I have seen thus far that isn’t going to happen. I don’t see 4 more wins on the schedule. I hope I’m wrong.

The sad thing for us is watching the talent and efficiency of other SEC teams on TV after going to the stadium. This program is no where compared to those teams. We look very confused and slow on both offense and defense. Ty Chandler would have had a 20 yard gain on that play against a SEC team. If that?

Do not know if the DL is so poor, but our LB’s are lost sometimes. I thought DKJr was awesome in his late freshman season. Right now he seems to be working his way to anonymity. Bitulli does seem to be catching on a bit.

I wouldn’t matter what we do....some people just can’t see any positive in any situation...
Positives? Positives? After 15+ years of failed coaches, failed players, missed opportunities, and games lost. Pruitt will succeed here, even if it is prep for his Ali like return to Greenbow, Alambammmaaa!!!!

This team is about to be badly exposed on both the offensive and defensive lines for the next several weeks barring significant improvement somehow IMO.

I remember when CBJ did the same thing with UMass. Kept it vanilla and used it as a scrimmage to prep for the real part of the season!
That worked out well..

What is Florida's weakness right now? What did we work on this weekend?

Only someone betting on games really cares about the spread in a glorified scrimmage.

Being bowl eligible as a baseline. Not aware of that poll, what are the #'s of those people that voted compared to everyone that follows college football and has an opinion on this team? rhetorical question.. I hope that's what happens though.

Im not sure about the pole either. What I sure of though is the fact that we really need the 15 extra practices you get awarded when you are bowl eligible. Winning 6 games really means a lot for our team.

So far this season - WVU was ugly, defensively and offensively - ETSU, some bright spots on the offense, ST and defense - UTEP, a step backwards in all three phases. Not just singling out the OL, but everybody took a step backwards with fumbles, penalties, missed assignments, etc. There were bright spots Saturday, it didn't rain.

For this team to become bowl eligible a lot will have to happen quickly, the Gators will be very stiff competition along the offensive and defensive fronts, and getting a push on either side of the ball has to happen. The DL can't get to the QB and our OL can't get past the opposing DL for secondary blocks. Most of this is the result of poor player development by Butch Jones and Company, technique and S&C . . . this will take time to overcome, a couple of years.

We very possibly could end up 4 - 8 again if the OL and DL cannot get the job done.

Love the VOLS - hate Butch Jones, Dooley and what's his name in Floridia (I refuse to type or say his name).

Pruitt said during the coaches show that when they got up 17-0 that basically the plan was to protect the ball and essentially get out with a win and try to prevent injury. We ran the ball 50 times versus throwing 19, so the stat sheet definitely supports that.

Additionally, if we had not turned the ball over, gotten some dumb penalties, eliminated our turnovers and forced turnovers (had 3 ints that we basically dropped, that hit us in the hands) , we probably win 49-0, maybe more.

During this horrid 2 game win streak, Tennessee has scored 83 points, and allowed no touch downs. They could have tacked 2 or 3 more touchdowns yesterday if they wanted to. Instead our dumb OC used part of the game to practice / get people experience for the upcoming games instead of getting one more score to cover the spread that Tennessee was expected to win by.

Lighten up folks,It was almost universally unanimous before the season started that going to a bowl game would be beyond a stellar year for us. I get it, growing pains are painful. I don't get the cry baby fits when you know its going to happen though.
A win is sometimes relief when you don't play well. It's not whether you win or lose for the next game. It is how your playing.
