He had to be healthy the day before, else when Fulmer was asked why he didn't play, he would have mentioned him being sick instead of acting shocked.

This is one in a series of "stories" we have been asked to buy into all season.

1. Ainge's injury wasn't serious and it wouldn't affect his play.
2. Colquitt's injury was also played down early in the season.

Now this story, we're also being asked to buy into.

Hardesty missed practice with an illness. He's sick of playing for clueless people.

He had to be healthy the day before,

That's the thing about getting sick, you were most likely feeling pretty good the day before. If that didn't happen, then you'd just be sick all of the time now wouldn't you?

Now I know that this "story" isn't as juicy as all the other theories, but it's very possible this happened. I guess you'll just have to find something else to gossip with the women at the hair salon about.

If it happened, then it would be one of the most coincidental illnesses I've seen in a while.

What I don't understand is how they just now found out he was sick yesterday. Last night, not even his roommate knew where he was. If he was in bed, wouldn't he have known? I smell BS.

Emergency room maybe?

In my college experience, there were plenty of times that my roommate and friends didn't know where I was.

The articles said he was in bed with a fever. Even if it was bad enough that he was at the ER, his roommate would know.

He was probably having a long talk with his dad from the sound of things. Sounds like his dad said get your arse back to K-town and finish what you started. Hopefully Hardesty will have some new coaches next year and everything will work out nicely.

That's usually because most college kids (myself included) were either drinking or whoring around campus, not ill with the flu. Normally, if you have the flu, you at least bed ridden for a while, not missing to the point that your roomate doesn't even know where you are.

Just smells like more bravo sierra...

I hate to say it, but I agree with tva. The article says he was in bed and very sick but, last night, nobody knew where he was.

I stayed at my girlfriends apartment when I was sick. Does Hardesty have a girlfriend? If we don't know, we can speculate about that too.

I used to go stay with the g/f if I was sick so I had someone to take care of me :dunno:

I've tried my hardest here, but still can't muster up an ounce of care about this. Why is there a debate? He might be sick, he might be AWOL, he might be transferring, etc. In the end, what does it matter?

He is not an indicator of people fleeing the program, if that's the point.

That's just the thing, it doesn't really matter. We all know the program is in trouble right now but some feel the need to pile on with gossip and rumors that they know nothing about.
