I'm not ready to give the starting job to any of them right now. Make it a true competition and play who will give us the best chance to win. From watching the games I would predict Nick to rise to the top with our current choices.

How could it hurt someone that Cut was never interested in?? Ainge was Cut's golden boy to get back to being a HC somewhere. Cut could have cared less about Cromp from all the reports I have read and things I have been told.

thanks for the insight Eric. i didn't know Coach Cut didn't like him. i'm new to the site so i will try to learn these tings from the past. i love the site i just didn't know about it.

It's cool. I don't think a lot of people knew that. From what I understand Crompton almost quit playing after his freshman year once he knew that Cut was coming here. I can't confirm that though.

I think they will develop one of them. I don't care who. There is hope with each of them.

If I were a betting man, then I would pick stephens.

However, if CLK decides to go with Crompton, I won't criticize him for it until we are able to see him on the field in a game situation under Kiffin's management.

Stephens,I don't think our grounds keepers can take another year of drought and crompton's dirt dobbers.

Crompton sucked in '08, would prefer a passer/running
QB, a freshman would be fine!:dance2:

I just hope Crompton is able to realize that he has a second chance and it is up to him to take advantage of the opportunity. I hope he does not let his attitude get in the way of learning from some solid coaches.

Chumpton does not have a second chance. he is a 5th year senior, who is a bonafide bust who isnt capable of learning a D1 playbook, he will be a special teamers next year

Crompton is gonna get a fresh start with the slate clean. He is getting a chance to start over. That said, to this point, I have seen nothing that makes me think he is our starting QB. He has had more chances to prove himself, than the other 2. And at this point is more worried about getting booed by the fans, than completing 5 yard passes.

If Kiffin starts JC this year I will lose alot of respect for him. There is no need to start a 5th yr senior for one season who has yet to show he has the mind to make the right reads on defense. I hope he drops off the team so I never have to look at Phils Pet again.

The fact he is only here one more year does play a factor I think. You make a good point with that.

Makes perfect sense...I still find it strange he didn't go after any QB in this class. I mean even if he brings in a top stud in the 2010 class, the guy will still be a freshman. He has to think either Stephens or Coleman can develop into a serviceable QB until his first star recruit is ready to take us to the next level.

I mean look at what Saban did with JPW. I realize JPW played better than any of our QB's did this past year, but he still wasn't good at all when Saban took over. And for the most part he made him into a serviceable QB. I guess CLK is looking to improve everywhere else and develop a QB into someone who doesn't turn the ball over for now. I personally like Stephens in this setup...

Seriously why do South Carolina fans continue to post on this website? They act like they have a good program or something.
