Softball Selection Sunday Top 16 predictions

Tennessee will be somewhere between 8 and 10. Nebraska looks like the sure number one. I think Florida St is way on down the list more like 10. Texas Tech will get 8 or 9 and they will probably pair them with Tennessee.

I think there is an outside chance Tennessee could host some have us as high as six in their brackets.

I think we’ll be higher around the 6-8 range. I think we’ll be staying home if we make it but it’s lining up that TTU may be coming to town.

I don’t see them getting rewarded with an 8 or lower. They’ll have us on the road for Supers to earn it the hard way.

I normally watch the replay of the games on youtube after I get up in the morning. My wife stays up until 3:00-4:00 in the morning, so she doesn't have to watch them with me. The biggest thing I have noticed about the team this year is how bad they are hitting. Seems like coach Weekly should replace the hitting coach with someone who can teach them how to hit.

So, SEC with just 7 teams compared to 9 last year? Perhaps, but some projections have LSU as high as #10 due to RPI, SOS, and a fair number of wins across the top 25.

LSU or Texas A&M are certainly both factors to get in top 16.

I think winning that series against Bama right at the end of the season will give LV's a boost for Regionals seeding. Supers host - don't see it. If Karen and staff cannot fix the lineup hitting may not make it out of the Regional even if being the host.

Might point out we beat 4 of your top 8 and didn't play 3. Run ruled UCLA 11-0.

I haven’t seen a legitimate outlet have Tennessee outside a top 8. Don’t see a way Tennessee isn’t hosting supers. The committee has historically fawned over quality wins and Tennessee probably has the most given the run in February and then the bama series. Expecting a 6 or 7 seed tonight. Possibly 8

Virginia Tech got screwed out of hosting, no wonder they did not seem too excited, and I'm surprised that the committee didn't set up a potential Red Raiders vs. Lady Vols super regional pitchers storyline like they did for the Aggies vs. Longhorns.

Solid super draw imo (especially given the Texas Tech alternative). Think sage and Karlyn can definitely neutralize Georgia’s offense and I don’t think Georgia’s pitching is that good

Yeah once they announced FSU at 9, I forsure thought the committee was going to go with the tt v lady vols supers pairing. Poor Florida, not sure they have the pitching to hold it down

Happy for Lady Vols! Opportunity awaits. Tools are there if we can get timely hitting with runners on base which has been missing. Maybe not playing SEC caliber pitchers will help in the regional. But some say that's why they play the games. Go Lady Vols!

Depends on how focused our hitters choose to be. Saw them pound Oklahoma in Athens other day. They have the hitters for our hitters ballpark. Soooo
