The booming metropolis of Milan.

Home of former vol TE Jefferson Smith. Milan bulldogs, they are usually pretty damn good. I knew a guy from greenfield, went McKenzie for a wedding once, got relatives in Memphis.... That bout all I know about west TN lol.

That's amusing.
Unrelated story: when a friend of mine was in the fourth grade, he was caught in class with his wallet out. He had just relocated from New Jersey, and when the teacher told him to "put it up," his natural response was to put it up in the air. So he held it up. She told him again, and he held it up still. She got so angry with him, she sent him to the principal's office.

Moral of the story: Southern vernacular is often misunderstood by northerners (and by me, at times).

My Dad is over there right now visiting my Grandparents. Last time I talked to him he was in the middle of a nervous breakdown because he was wandering around their front yard trying to find a signal on his iPhone and mumbling something about "this is like talking on the phone in the *(#*$%$ Congo."
