Reports are Feds are considering a huge bump in SS due to inflation. And while people on fixed incomes are hurt worst & need help with this financial punishment Obama/Biden have placed on America, runaway inflation hurts them worse.

This increase is only reactionary (after costs have increased) and does nothing to protect for the increases yet to come. No chance granny can have enough for her Tesla.

So basically, they have discredited their own CPI numbers.

Obama/Biden....

Well, at least you didn't just take a very complicated issue and apply a ridiculous and partisan oversimplification to it.

It’s nothing more than the SS COLA adjustment that they do every year - nothing new here at all.

I’m willing to agree it’s unfair to place this at the feet of a few Presidents. However, here is your difference, the headlines:

Obama, America’s first black President, Dam he’s amazing, I bet he smells phenomenal, and completely scandal free by the way, works day and night to help your grandma!

Biden, fighting a against pandemic, considering solutions to assist the elderly.

TRUMP, racist, sexist, Jan 6th, 1/6, racist, homophobic, 01/06, racist, 01/06/21, racist, xenophobic, 01/06/2021, racist, bigot, HATES your grandma!!! Especially if your Grandma was alive last year on January 6th!

The state retirement system in Tennessee limits COLA adjustments to no more than 3% per year. There is no such limit for feds.

Nothing new other than being the highest adjustment in 40 years. Undoubtedly there’s enough money in the pot to cover these. Move along.

You think Trump didn't have a massive part in this?

The number 1 factor driving inflation has been increased cost of energy and that sets, rests & resides solely on the current administration’s desk. A 50% increase in cost of the most critical component in our economy in 12-15 months with no end in sight is the primary factor. Temporary spending, like the stimulus that was part of both Trump & “whatever” administration, may spark inflation but only for a brief time.

Trying to tie Americas rising energy cost to Putin is something only an ignorant, naive & demented fool would try to do.

9% is a joke because the actual inflation rate is much much higher than what our leftist commie overlords are feeding us. This is just another bone the Slo Jo & his Cackling Ho regime is throwing out there to sway seniors for the midterms. BTW - If someone needs a 9% increase in SS to survive they’re already in a world of hurt.

It’s a damn calculation of inflation of a specific basket of items. They aren’t negotiating a damn raise.
