Please. these people get to lead a life of privelege and wealth that most could only dream about. No one forces them to take the job. Cry me a river.

Barb:
The thing that's hardest for me is I know everything he's put into this for five years. The next person that would come in here would look like a genius. We're so close, but the powers that be are the ones who have the final say.

Funny.

It doesn't bring me any satisfaction knowing their suffering, but it goes with the territory, and they are set for life on the buyout.

We should temper our reactions and avoid hurting his family. We usually show more class but passions run deep when it's football time in Tennessee.

Go Big Orange!

I recognize that there are a bunch of idiots out there that probably send all kinds of hate mail towards the family and take out their frustrations on the family. That is 100% wrong and never ok.

That being said, I really have no sympathy for them just being upset that Butch is failing and they have to deal with it. Their entire family will be immensely wealthy the rest of their lives. They can get over the stress of knowing he is about to be fired.

Butch can buy Barb and the kids each a new Mercedes with a tiny portion of his first buyout check. They'll be ok.

With great salaries, and great buyouts come great responsibility.

I am confident that Barb, and all of their children will find great comfort over the next few years and count the 9 million reasons all the way to an enchanted life outside the arena of football....

My criticisms about CBJ have nothing to do with him as a person....just him as a coach!

We should never hate him or god forbid his family, but he's making millions to coach football. Criticism is not only fair, but warranted at this point.

Agreed....Barb and the kids are rightfully off limits. Dad made the decision to come play big-boy ball. They'll all benefit from a bad situation.

I'm gonna sound like an ass here but I don't care how this might affect his family. The man is getting paid millions, they'll survive a few months of scrutiny.

You should never attack his family, but with the pay checks he is rolling in he better be able to roll with the punches.

Waaaahhhhhhh! Another crying effort to justify his performance at Tennessee. His family will be fine with his buyout, and they will be loved elsewhere when he takes his cliches and BS to some mediocre college somewhere where he can talk about the greatness of 8-9 wins per year.

You're right. You sound like an ass. But I understand.

The kids don't deserve any form of scrutiny. I think Barb will learn to never allow access like this again.

I do feel for the kids who have to see and hear people calling for their Dad's head. They didn't choose this. Butch and Barbara are adults, though, and they did choose this. And cannot ignore how well compensated they have been on Rocky Top. They will be fine.

The Jones' household is raking in over $11,000 per day.

Perhaps the can wipe away their tears, and blow their upturned noses, on a crisp Franklin or 20?

That'd make me feel better.....if not downright giddy.

Money doesn't matter to the kids.

Some of the quotes in that interview sound like they're expecting for him to be fired.
