Saying grown men can't wear a football jersey representing his team is stupid. Might as well take the stickers off the vehicles, throw your gear out, and clean out the man cave. All those autograph's is for them, Justin Bieber f'ers. Most of us are older than the players, why root for a bunch of kids? After all, it's just glorified high school ball.

At the same time, all you old geezers wearing dri-fit style running/workout clothes need to take that off. Your embarrassing! GTFOH!!!

Lots of "men" itt that seem to spend too much time worrying about the fashion choices of other men. Nike sells an absolute crap ton of jerseys every year to non players. Not really my thing, but I don't judge others for supporting their team in this manner.

Grown men should NEVER wear jerseys! Ever. Unless you are suiting up to play in the game. Being the 12th man (fan) doesn't count........

And you gained the authority to make this decision how? I don't wear them myself, but I wouldn't be a giant jerk about what someone else wears.

I'm not sure what all the hubbub over Nike is. As far as I'm concerned a shirt is a shirt & shorts are shorts as long as they're comfortable. But if it helps us win, I'm all for it!!!

I started wearing a jersey on game days when I was 10, and my dad bought me a Heath Shuler jersey. It became part of our gameday tradition along with eating certain foods and drinking orange Sunkist all day. I continued with a Peyton jersey and on with Clausen, Ainge, Eric Berry, and brand new Dobbs and Peyton jerseys for this year. So what would be the appropriate age for me to end a 23 year tradition? I don't want any Volnation fashion experts or real manly men looking down on me.

I gotta tell the jersey wearing grown men that the old "Peyton's really let himself go" joke NEVER gets old.

I don't get it. Don't wear Vols football jerseys because I never played for the Vols.

I guess I better get rid of my Nike golf clubs because I never played like Tiger Woods.

Shouldn't drink Gatorade either because Michael Jordan drinks it and I never played in the NBA.

Peyton also wears polo shirts and suits...better throw those out.

This discussion never gets old.

....do what you like. There are a large number of people who think our colors are ridiculous. I recall a visiting UCLA fan who was stunned at how many fans proudly wore orange.

It wasn't that UCLA fans didn't love the school but that the fans just didn't rep the colors the way we do. I personally have no issues with wearing them. I used to have a dozen. Now I'm down to 3 including the one that's due to arrive today.

I paid a lot of money for this...You better believe that I'm going to wear it.

Went to Alumni Hall today to get my Nike fix and the dude said you can only buy a #16 jersey because numbers for current players could result in lawsuits. Sorry if this is old, but I'm just now finding this out. Extremely disappointing.

Its the truth, all the nike schools will be doing it this way. at least for this year.

Looks awesome! Wear it proudly! Did you buy it from VolShop?

Yes. I figured I would just splurge and get the limited one. It's expensive, but I think it will be worth it over time. It's made very well....Much better than my adidas smoky grey...but that one isn't the stitched numbers. It's actually much nicer than I thought it would be.

I also picked the wife up some adidas clearance stuff there. 75% off and she doesn't really care what brand...Just as long as it's "cute". It of course will also soften the blow when she finds out how much it was.
