At this point we all know that barring a miraculous turnaround that change is coming. We have 3 conference losses, two of which are to Florida or Georgia, so there will be no winning the east this year. So when do you think the announcement will come?

I would not be surprised if the hammer falls sometime this week. But, my guess is that it will happen sometime during the week after our next loss. Whether is the Mississippi St game or Bama. I think the next loss does it, if yesterday's didn't do it.

You know once I think about that, maybe not. He's got guys on the staff that are his guys and I don't know how deep their brotherly love goes but, if they are boys till the end they will pack up too.

So, maybe, not so much on the Dave Clawson firing.

I honestly think Dave Clawson is about to be fired.

I doesn't matter who the OC is when our O-line sucks as bad as it does. Plus, Fulmer is in on the offense and that is why our offense is lacking in execution. You can't have two chiefs trying to run the offensive side of the ball.

Don't kid yourself. Fulmer would throw any of his guys under the bus if it would save his job.

I don't think Clawson should be fired. However, I am wondering what happened to this spread offense he was supposed to bring us. All we ever run really is an i form or an ace set. I agree that our o-line is terrible but why aren't we using our weapons more effectively. Stephens needs to grow but he has shown promise throwing the deep ball. Lets line up 4 wide and try to work the ball around.

He doesn't use a spread offense, he uses a modified version of the West Coast offense.

Very True. I'm just saying if he does that means he has extra work to do. The man obvioiusly can't handle the load as is. What if he actually had to be responsible for even more details.

He's not talking about Fulmer. Several of the coaches on the offensive staff are Clawson's guys. If he is fired, it's likley we are replacing alot of the staff midseason.

IF he is, then Scott and Clawson are gone. Micheal and Adkins would stay.

Thanks for clearing that up. I heard that he implemented a spread offense. still though i just don't understand how we play so poorly. I think Clawson deserves some more time but i agree if fulmer can save himself he'll throw him under the bus. Im a little biased since i've lived in blount county my whole life and know brandon warren but why doesnt he get to play more. Stocker has not impressed me and all this season and warren is a playmaker and a smart kid. His athletic ability is evident here YouTube - Brandon Warren one handed catch

Fulmer looked really uncomfortable on his show. Constantly looking down, never much eye contact (never did much anyway). Just seemed like something (other than the really poor play of the team) was bothering him.

Just an observation, nothing more.

They would be wise if they are going too make a move, to make it soon. A lot of coaching jobs are about to open up. We shouldn't wait around til the end of the year to let our intentions be known. Early bird gets the worm.

He wont this week. If he loses to MSU next week then the 8-4 becomes impossible. 8-4 is already extremely unlikely. It wouldnt surprise me one bit though if hamilton is still hanging on to that remote possibilty.

He's running a "compromise" offense to suit an old school HC...just like CTF was running at AU being micromanaged by CTT. It's funny how both of these OC's were very successful until they wound up under micromanager's. I watched CTF at Troy and his offense moved the ball in a hurry...the offense he was running at AU was not even close to what he runs. I would say the same thing is happening at UT with Clawson.

clawson will be first to go.........fulmer will try to escape....

If clawson goes so should fulmer. Fulmer is very aware of whats being called on the field. In fact lets just start with a whole new coaching staff. A fresh start to get everyone on the same page.

UCLA...we complain about throwing it 42 times. What if that is what the defense was giving us in the first game after practicing the offense all summer and thinking we could execute it correctly?

Brandon Warren doesn't see much playing time, and the much bigger blocking TE does. Wonder if that is a reflection of the need at the line of scrimmage?

Watching the OL/DL from opposing SEC perennial powers- I see the same size/weight, but much quicker and faster. Speed kills especially when combined with strength.

We have some great athletes, but not the same across the board and depth wise as other SEC powers. Who recruited them? Oklahoma State?

We are just not as good as a whole as most others are right now, and I believe it boils down to players. No other SEC coach would trade teams with you I'll bet.

Well this seems to be the same info we keep hearing, CClaw , is not the problem, and looks like Randy was not all the problem (for the nay sayers) but that Fulmers hand in the cookie jar which he could not do with CCUT, because CCUT knows all and will tell all.
