I don't think it did. When Bailey committed I think Pruitt thought JG could hold down the fort until HB was ready. Things fell apart and Pruitt has now made the decision to go with the blue chip FR quarterback that he recruited here for the exact reason to be QB1. The NegaVols would have crushed Pruitt had he brought in Franks to replace JG as they are pretty much exactly the same when it comes to QB player ratings.

Pruitt was stuck! What chaney could've done to help was simplified the offense, quicker plays.....then see who rises from that, but it all is a long shot. Mullen has made a heisman contender out of trask of simplicity. why cant chaney?

The logical choices were JT and HB and it was pretty obvious to all except for dumbass Pruitt that with a little development they had a higher upside to contribute this year than JG. Pruitt shut down Bailey early in the fall after 10 snaps because he stated HB looked terrible. That is a terrible decision to make for a 5 star Qb. Bailey was only out about a week due to Covid tracing. It is not an excuse at all for Bailey not getting the reps he needed.

I would have started any qb other than JG. He definitely put the wrench in the gears. But pruitt kept trotting him out there. Thats my biggest issue. When your qb is struggling you better have another one ready. That alone showed me Pruitt has been drinking or sleeping on the job.

You apparently did not read my previous post. Your position is naive and wrong. Bailey only missed 4 practices due to Covid tracing. Pruitt stopped the development in preseason because he considered the 5 star Qb recruit 4th string after one initial 10 snap practice. He stated he did not have the practice time to look at him anymore. Pathetic decision by Pruitt. That decision alone warrants Pruitt’s firing.

BS About money on JG improving. We won 8 in a row despite him. Are you going to sit here and state he was responsible for the bowl win. He put us in such a whole in the he game that it took a miraculous onside kick recovery to get a very lucky win.

I remember the transformation that Lane did on Crompton. I would say we could have used something like that with any of the qbs on the roster. For the big bucks we should be getting better development.

Idk maybe find an actual Fing QB through transfer? If you see your roster can’t produce better than JG you take a transfer.

Pruitt is either trying to get fired or he’s so damn incompetent that we better fire him before his dumbass burns down the locker room.
